Q1- What is your gender?
Series1
As you can see the majority of the viewers were female. Now reflecting upon our study, we should have ensured there to be an equal number of boys and girls to prevent bias. In addition, if there was an equal number of both genders we would be able to get a broader range of the feedback given, and we would be able to establish any patterns.

Question 2
Series1
We were really happy with these results that were received on this question. The answers to this question show that the themes Ella and I were aiming to show in our music video were received very well by the audience as they distinguished the ones we hoped they would i.e. alcoholism and a break up.

Question 3
performance of band is most important aspect of music vid
narrative is most important aspect of music vid
both are equally important
These results were a huge improvement in comparison to our pre-production research. We successfully convinced our audience that both a band and a narrative are both as important as each other to be incorporated into a music video.

Question 5

This question outlined some more themes that our target audience distinguished from our music video. Love was one of the main ones which was highlighted, and very much present in our music video along with relationships and alcoholism. We had definitely succeeded in portrayed our message across to our audience.

Question 6
Series1
I was quite happy with the rating responses we received. I believe that for two amateur filmmakers, to receive ratings of 7 and above only was really good and I was really pleased with this. I believe that there were certainly ways we could have improved, which was obvious from the responses but nonetheless, I was satisfied with what we received.

Q7:FOR BOYS- can you connect with the male characters feelings.
Series1
For the boys that were present in the public viewing, we got a positive outcome for this question. We wanted our video to be able to be relatable for boys in our target audience age range (15-23). I think this we were successful in this sense as we the majority of boys said they could relate to the male characters feelings of lost love, loneliness and despair.

Q9: do you think props and location used within the music video are
convincing and appropriate to the lyrics and music.
yesno
This was another positive outcome from the responses of our audience feedback. 91% of our viewers said that they saw the relevance in the use of our props and that it linked with the lyrics. Its also positive that they believe it was convincing as we concentrated a lot on making the storyline as realistic as possible.
THE RESULTS – Qualitative FeedbackQUESTION 10 – favorite part
• “The flashbacks of the relationship”• “The band singing”• “The candle melting”
We received a lot of feedback focusing their favorite part on being the flashbacks and the band performance. I was thrilled to hear this, however I felt that the footage of the band performance was some of our more weak shots.
THE RESULTS – Qualitative FeedbackQUESTION 11 – Improvments
• “Improvement of band performance, wasn’t as convincing as main narrative”
• “Better actors”• “Faster cuts”
After looking through all the feedback, I noticed that there was a large focus on improving the band performance and members. This conflicted slightly with the answers from question 10, however, I do agree that we could have focused more on the band. In addition, the criticisms about choosing actors is very true as well, as two of our actors were chosen last minute due to pull outs. I have really benefitted from this audience feedback as it has highlighted areas where I certainly could have improved.
