1. Cutting and transitions

I have began editing by creating a raw copy of the trailer by putting the shots in the correct order, then I used the razor tool to cut the shots together. In some cases the cut was too rough and transitions would have been used for effect. By double clicking on them I was also able to change the duration.

2. Audio

In order for the trailer to make sense and to run smoothly adjustments needed to be made to the audio using the Audio Control Master as well as the Audio Gain tool along with Audio Transitions.

3. Pre-sets

I have added ready made pre-sets to some of the scenes e.g. in the opening scene black & white effect was used

4. Colour Correction

I have used the Video effect section of the pre-sets and effects to change the colours of the shots so that they look much cleaner and work better together

5. After Effects

I have used this software in order to create authentic looking cinematic titles. By using a pre-set of a smoke being blown, I have implemented a linear fade to the text along with a blur creating a very interesting looking title. I have also used the “Transform” options to do basic text animation.

6. Subtitles

Due to the fact both programmes are part of the Adobe Creative Cloud it was easy for me to transfer files from Premiere Pro directly into after effects where text could easily be added and animated. I have only decided to change the opacity to make the text fade in and out of the shot to make it look simple and easy to read.
