Message from the Show Director

“On behalf of Drink JAPAN Show Management, I would like to warmly thank you for

your interest towards our show and an even bigger thank you to those who

participated to witness the launch. The 2016 show was a successful and amazing

edition with 179 exhibitors and 10,012 professional visitors from across Japan and the

world. In fact, the spaces were completely sold out before the show. From what we

have been hearing post-show, many of the participants were able to seal deals resulting

in sales from thousands to millions of Japanese yen. So as a trade show, it has been a

wonderful platform. Also, the show gathers various professionals from the industry

such as beverage manufacturers, liquid food manufacturers, distributors, etc., so it has

served as an ultimate platform for such participants to network and negotiate future

business and ideas for beverage and liquid food manufacturing. There is no other show

in Japan like Drink JAPAN offering such a comprehensive base for international

business. We hope to continue excelling in scale and in the international profile, so

professionals from Japan and overseas will be able to utilise it to exchange contacts,

and seek the latest products, services and technologies for the further development of

beverage/liquid food manufacturing. It really is an excellent show to learn the

potential and possibilities of the Japanese and Asian beverage/liquid food market.

Please use this show report to get a taster of what our show can offer and we look

forward to your active participation in the coming editions.”

Takuya Ishimoto, Show Director of Drink JAPAN Reed Exhibitions Japan Ltd.

Participants’ comments

Kirin Beverage Product R&D Center

There were more exhibitors than we

expected. Thanks to the exhibition, we had opportunity to meet a lot of industry professionals from companies we didn’t know before. We will definitely visit the show next year.

Asahi Soft Drinks Institute of Technology

KAGOME Production Group 1

We visited show because it was specialised in beverage and liquid food manufacturing. Even though it was the first edition, we were impressed to see many exhibits. The show was a great platform for us to meet new companies and discover the latest technologies.

Sapporo Breweries Packaging Technical Development Center

We’ve been waited for long and were happy

to visit the show which is for beverage technologies. Compared to others, the show was more specialised and it focused on beverage sector. We are considering purchasing filling machines that we found at the show.

3M Japan

Shintaku Industry

We exhibited in order to develop new clients. There were more visitors than we expected during the show period. The sales amount is expected to be JPY 20 million.

We met around 350 visitors from soft drink, alcoholic drink and seasoning manufacturing industry. We received orders of filling machines which are worth JPY 31 million and are very satisfied with the result.

There was no exhibition for drink technology in Japan before. We were satisfied with the show because we could experience both exhibition and technical seminars. We look forward to the expansion of next edition.
