IEX Europe – a sustainable success concept
While celebrating the anniversary edition of the IEX – Insulation Expo Europe in Cologne (former ISO fair), the exhibition was able to expand their role as the central European platform for industrial insulation materials and technologies. In total 5.649 visitors – more than 10 % more visitors compared to the previous event –encoun-tered 200 exhibitors from all over the world in Cologne.
The high amount of first-timers prooved that the IEX suc-ceeded in reaching new targeted visitor groups. The new interactive formats and action areas, which we developed in cooperation with our partners, such as the fire protection
area, the IEX forum, the product demonstration area and the new matchmaking tool contributed to this outcome. Especially strong were the gains from the foreign countries and remarkable is the high amount of clients from North and South America, Asia and the Arabian region, which traveled to Cologne for the IEX. The IEX was supported from all important associations and publishers of the industry.
In the following pages, we prepared all official and from the FKM audited numbers and facts of the IEX Europe 2016 in a detailed and clear way.

At IEX numerous product innovations were presented – six of them were nominated for the IEX Award. This year the first place went to Sweden: Climate Recovery received the award for its “Climate Recovery Duct System“, a complete insulation system for air-handling or conditioning systems.
