There are several poster ideas/concepts that I could choose:

Concept Development

• Within the social issue of homelessness, there are lots of smaller issues within them such as housing, rough sleeping, starvation, mental or physical health issues, lack of support/care, drug or alcohol problems, money management etc.

• Who are you going to target? My poster will keep the audience board and target working/middle class people who have a house/flat/apartment/bungalow or even just a bed to sleep in at the end of the day. It could potentially make people feel grateful for what they have.

Final Idea/Outline

• What issue are you going to target? I’m going to target the issues facing homeless people such as violence and mental health, and also the number of young people sleeping rough. There are some shocking figures which I’m going to use in my poster accompanied by some nice design work or imagery. I will be experimenting extensively with the design and layout of the poster and will produce at least 10 drafts before I settle on a final one.

• What will your poster achieve? My poster will raise awareness of these more specific issues of homelessness. It might encourage people to donate to a good charity that helps the homeless.
