WHO CANPARTICIPATE?

The Poster Contest is open to all public, privateand home schooled students in grades K-12.

Only digital posters (photographs orscanned copies of the hand drawn postersin a JPEG format) will be accepted at thenational level. Photographs must be clearand well-framed. It is the local district/stateassociation/auxiliary/agency’s decisionwhat size and what kind of poster (handdrawn or digital) they accept for your localor state contest.

The 2020 theme “Where Would We BEEWithout Pollinators?” must be included onthe front side of each poster.

Each entry for the national contest must besubmitted to NACD with an entry form tobe eligible for judging. The form must becompleted and signed by a parent orguardian.

Although younger students will most likelyreceive help in planning from parents orteachers, NACD encourages each studentto do their own work.

Only official state poster contest sponsorscan submit entries for the national contest.Entries must be emailed by December 1,2020 to [email protected].

CONTEST RULES

WHY PARTICIPATE?Designing a poster and researching the themecan give you a voice in your community onimportant conservation issues!

Posters capture people’s attention and tellimportant stories in a language that everyonecan understand.

They inspire, increase awareness, andencourage us to work together to protect ournatural resources for present and futuregenerations.

POSTEREVALUATION

Conservation message (50 percent) (Poster uses correct theme)Visual effectiveness (30 percent)Originality (10 percent) andUniversal appeal (10 percent)

Poster Contest entries are reviewed based onthe following criteria:

PRIZESLocal awards and recognition will be given.

State winners will be eligible for NACD’s

National Poster Contest and prizes.

All poster entries should be sent to your localconservation district.
