Our preference for the semiconductors we design into our assemblies is Infineon with whom we have been a partner for more than 30 years. In that time Infineon have been consistent in quality, delivery and support. However should you have your own preference we are fully flexible incorporating alternative manufacturers.

Power Stack Assemblies

PSL has been designing, manufacturing and supplying semiconductor power assemblies for more than 30 years. From even the briefest of specification, our in-house engineering team can translate your idea into reality using the latest AutoCAD and thermal analysis softeware. As a user as well as a manufacturer of heatsinks, we have unrivalled undertsanding of the quality of finish required when mounting IGBT, Thyristor and Diode devices.

Our manufacturing facility is fitted with the latest CNC vertical machining centres & state of the art tooling, which, when combined with our wealth of experience, guarantees maximum production and management control providing superior products and services of exceptional value.

Sub Contract Assembly Our experienced engineering and production departments have worked closely with various customers throughout the world to manufacture assemblies & box builds to their designs. Our manufacturing facility has a proven capability for building and testing semiconductor assemblies, and the service extends to refurbishment as well as new build.

Thermal Management Solutions

Aside from standard extruded heatsinks, PSL offers two types of engineered solutions intended for cooling the modern day power semiconductor; bonded fin sections cooled by natural or forced air, and liquid cooled plates using embedded pipes.

Both systems offer thermal management solutions where no conventional method exists, or where methods that are available are not economically viable.

High Density Heatsinks

The advantage of this technology lies in its flexibility. Unlike standard profiles, bonded fin can be used to create designs that are too complex to be extruded, opening up a virtually unlimited range of possibilities for the designer.

Traditional fin height to pitch ratios can be far exceeded with this technology and fins can be positioned to suit the needs of the heat source.

Liquid Cooled Plates

PSL are capable of producing plates with fluid paths of any pitch to suit any application for maximum cooling efficiency without compromise. Liquid cooled engineered heatsinks are made by embedding either copper, aluminium, or stainless steel tubing into an aluminium plate, providing the advantage that the liquid pipes are exposed to the surface of the plate and can be best positioned to suit the component layout.

Thermal Analysis Simulation

ANSYS thermal evaluation software is a real world thermal simulation tool. This enables our engineers to confidently replicate and test developments for all thermal solutions (natural air cooled, forced air cooled and fluid cooling systems).

Electrolytic Capacitors Itelcond manufacture an excellent range of industry standard aluminium electrolytic capacitors which are available in small and large can sizes. Features include extra long life (20,000 hrs), high temperature, high ripple and low ESR models and all are RoHS compliant.

Power Semiconductors

As a dedicated partner of over 30 years, PSL incorporate, where possible, Infineon Technologies Power Semiconductor products into our power stack product design, for both BIPolar and IGBT assemblies.
