CHINESE CIVILIZATION
It was in the Hwang-Ho river valley that the ancient Chinese civilization grew and developed. The beginning of the civilization was in the old stone age.
CHINESE CIVILIZATION[3000-1600]
Agriculture and cattle rearing had developed even before6000BC. The ancient farming tribes regulated the farming activities almost during the same time.

The tools and implements which were used for agriculture were more sharpened stone tools and wooden tools. After the invention bronze the bronze tools and weapons were widely used. The bronze weapons have some advantage over stone weapons.

Only very limited evidence has been obtained about the early stages of the ancient Chinese civilization.
EVIDENCES OF CHINESE CIVILIZATION
The Chinese built their houses in the shape of a circle. The upper portion in a conical shape. Near the residential complexes, the remains of a public burial ground have also been found.

Grey coloured pots were used widely at this time. The use of black and red pottery was also seen at a smaller scale during this age. Among the pots were plates, cup,pitchers.

During this age, moulds for making vessels and kilns for baking clay vessels came into use. Wine cups made of bronze, small axes, plates and three legged vessels with a flat bottom and handles have obtained in plenty.
The Chinese civilization followed pictorial script. The pattern was that one sign stood for one word. The script was written from top to bottom.
