The role of the team manager is to do the following:

1. Equipment Check— team bag has all equipment

2. Team Details—up to date

3. Communication—with families (newsletters, handouts)

4. Game day administration—collect and fill team sheet, organise a parent to score, organise a parent to

do the votes

Congratulations to all of the girls who represented Laurimar Netball Club at the recent Banyule Tournament. We had 2 x U11 Teams, 2 x U13 Teams and 1 x U15 team that travelled to Macleod on a cool Sunday morning and had a tremendous experience. The day started with a Net Fit session involving some celebrities including Chloe Watson from the Melbourne Vixens which put everyone in the right mood and warmed up ready for action. All of our teams put up great performances, but the highlights were the U13 A Team finishing Runner Up and our U15 team also finishing Runner Up. Thanks to our Coaches, Lisa, Treasa, Adam, Bob and Olevia and our umpires, Chloe, Akira, Olivia, Claudia and Denise. Our next Tournament is the Craigieburn Club Tournament on Sunday 20th September. Keep an eye out for Development Squad dates in the weeks prior

New Merchandise—Development Squad Training Top

The club committee has been working on a new training top for club members who have been attending development squad training sessions. The new tops will be $35 and shortly there will be an opportunity for sizing and ordering. Keep an eye out for this opportunity coming very soon.

Great Sense of Community

A real Church, with real People,

Gathering as a real Family, Loving a Real God! If you have been looking for a church near you, or simply wanting to ex-

plore faith, Cornerstone Church is the place for you. We provide a safe

place no matter where you are on your spiritual journey, to ask questions.

Cornerstone is a relatively new church and it’s a place where you can ex-

plore authentic Christian faith in a very real God, with like minded people,

and make great friendships with people who are experiencing God for

themselves.

Every Sunday @ 10am Level 1, 95 Hazel Glen Drive, Doreen

Dear Laurimar Netball Families,

Part of our plan to raise funds for Laurimar Netball Club we are running a fantastic Ferguson Plarre Family

Pie Fundraiser.

Ferguson Plarre has been making Pies & Savouries for over 110 years so have perfected their recipes over

a long time. You know that when you get a treat from a Ferguson Plarre Bakehouses that you are getting a

top quality, hand-made treat for a great price.

We have decided to run a Family Pie Drive!

Each Family Pie is available for $12.50 which is less than the RRP, so this is great value for you and your

family and friends. All of our profits will go to Laurimar Netball Club.

You, or your representative, will be able to collect your special Ferguson Plarre Family Beef Pies from the

Doreen Ferguson Plarre Bakehouses on FRIDAY 4th September.

To encourage all members to participate in this Fundraiser, we are giving the team that sells

the most pies a team PIE NIGHT (pie and drink to each team member and coach) at Fergu-

son’s Doreen.

We suggest you sell to family members, colleagues in the workplace, friends or neighbours. We do not

recommend involving children in selling, but if they are involved, they must do so under adult supervision,

especially if selling door to door.

We ask that all orders and money collected be returned to Nicole Pearson (0408 992 933) or a Committee

Member in an envelope by the Wednesday 2nd September. Please remember to take a copy of your order.

Fundraising activities such as this make a vital contribution towards improving FACILITIES for the benefit of

our entire Netball Club

In anticipation of a successful fundraising drive, we thank you for your support.
