IT fami-ly offer high safety and easy utilisation.Theapplication-orientated product descriptionmakes it easier to choose the right com-plete prewired unit. Reduced installationerrors and work are unbeatable advan-tages that can be offered to the customer.Both the dual monitoring unit for each cir-cuit with Thermo Dynamic Control and the
code of the plug-in protection module types preset by the manufacturercharacterise the high reliability of the equipment. Damage caused by sub-sequent installation errors of the installer or the operator is unlikely. Apartfrom measuring the surface temperature of the high-capacity varistor, theThermo Dynamic Control monitoring and disconnection device also eva-
luates the intensity of the discharge currents. Thus, it ensures that thearrester does not only change into a safe and isolated state at “standard”overloads but also remains safe if the device parameters are significantlyexceeded.
Apart from the standard visual indication with green and red colouredmarks, type DEHNguard... FM provides a 3-pole terminal for remote sig-nalling. As the remote signalling contact works also as a floating changeover contact, the remote signal can be used as a break or make

Not only flexibility characterises the DEHNguard family. Moreover, it is the striking perfor-mance parameters setting trends all over the world.
A high discharge capacity, low protection level and dual safety ThermoDynamic Control disconnector define the high reliability of the devices.
Especially the DEHN-specific Thermo Dynamic Control disconnector ensu-res the arresters to change to a safe isolated state even at extreme over-loads. Apart from the surface temperature of the high-capacity varistor,also the intensity of the discharge current is evaluated.
Apart from the standard visual indication with green and red colouredmarks, the variants of DEHNguard ... FM provide a 3-pole terminal forremote signalling. As the remote signalling contact works as a floatingchangeover contact, the remote signal can be used as a break or makecontact, according to circuit concept.

The multipole surge arresters DEHNguard Y PV 1000 (FM) pass approvedDEHNguard safety to the field of photovoltaic generating plants.
Both the dual monitoring unit for each circuit with Thermo DynamicControl and the code of the plug-in protection modules preset by themanufacturer characterise the high reliability of the equipment. Damagecaused by subsequent installation errors of the installer or the operator isunlikely. Apart from the surface temperature of the high-capacity varistor,the Thermo Dynamic Control monitoring and disconnection device evalua-tes also the intensity of the discharge currents. Thus it ensures the arres-ter not to change into a safe and isolated state at “standard” overloadsonly but to remain safe also if the device parameters are significantlyexceeded.
The fault-resistant Y-circuit with 3 high-capacity varistors avoids damageat the surge protection in case of isolation faults in the generator circuitof the photovoltaic generator.
