Generating PowerGenerating power can be achieved in a number of ways. Installing a WhisperPo-wer silent generator resolves the question of energy on board permanently. Our diesel generators act as a small onboard power plant: continuous power ‘on demand’. Quiet, compact, economical, reliable, durable and easy to operate. This section contains detailed information about all of our generators, all of which are easy and ready to connect and can be integrated and combined to form a com-plete WhisperPower system. A complete installation package is available for every generator: WhisperPower supplies everything needed for installation.The generator system can be completed with our sine wave inverters, batteries and chargers to ensure silent time when needed. The different types of generators available are described below providing a guideline for selecting the right model.

Genverter© series - the new generation!Our Genverter© technology combines modern diesel technology with the newest method in ge-nerating electric power. Instead of a conventional alternator mounted on the rear side of the fly-wheel housing, which has to rotate at a fixed speed, an incredibly compact permanent-magnet alternator (PM) is integrated in to the flywheel. Traditional fixed speed models - SuperCompact - SC seriesOur 3000/3600 RPM diesel generators are also ex-tremely compact and quiet. The speed of these gene-rator sets is twice as high as that of the 1500/1800 RPM sets resulting in a very favorable ratio between size and power. These sets are particularly appropri-ate if weight and size restrictions apply and are availa-ble with capacities of 3kVA to 10kVA and with a choice of 120V/60Hz or 230V/50Hz.

SuperQuiet - SQ seriesOur extra quiet, low-speed diesel generators are available with capacities from 5.7kVA to 54kVA and are equipped, as standard, with a robust noise damping enclosure. System Monitoring and ControlAll of our generator systems are delivered

‘Inverter’ output Devices such as air conditioning units and electric motors are often controlled by electronics to improve the efficiency and performance. The Piccolo is equipped with a PMG module (Power Module Genverter) to ensure that the voltage and frequency for all selected RPMs remain perfect so that all the equipment works correctly.

Super quietThe GRP sound enclosure creates a soundproof barrier from the water-cooled diesel engine. The enclosure can be divided allowing access to all service points which are grouped on one side. To ensure a solid foundation for your generator, there is the option for the baseplate to be supplied individually.

Complete energy systemWith the installation of the WhisperPower WP Combi inverter/ charger 12/2000 or 24/3500 and the Piccolo generator, your electrical system is complete. The inverter provides 230V 50Hz from the battery when the Piccolo is not running.

Our Genverter© diesel generator series combine the latest diesel engine technology with a new way of producing electrical power. Instead of adding a bulky alternator on the back of the engine, which has to operate with fixed speed, we have designed a very compact permanent magnet alternator (PM), located just behind the engine. As a result, a Genverter© is much smaller and lighter compared to traditional generators. Our Genverter© can be used for 230 V 50 Hz or 24 / 48 VDC power generation. At these pages we have specified our 230 V 50 Hz (adjustable to 60 Hz) models. For 120 VAC/ 60 Hz models go to page 12.

PowerModuleGenverter (PMG)Our 230 VAC Genverter© models are supplied with an external inverter (PMG) which can be installed in the engine room, or preferably, on a dry and well-ventilated location. The inverter is taking care of a smooth, high quality sine wave output and an extre-mely stable frequency at any rotating speed speci-fied within the operating window. The Genverter© speed can be adjusted to the desired output power which makes the system fuel efficient and silent. The PMG is supplied with an attractive remote panel allowing to monitor the PMG on a distance

PowerBoost by WhisperPowerCentreThe output power of a 230V Genverter© system can be boosted by installing a Whisper-PowerCentre inverter/charger. When connected to the PMG output, the WPC basically passes through the Genverter© output to the consumers. However, when the Genverter© output is insufficient, the WPC can supply additional power from the battery. Using the Genverter’s© automatic mode, it is also possible to create silent time by having the WPC cover limited power requirements.

In case of irregular electrical power consumption it might be a good decision to install a Genverter© system, based on DC power generation instead of AC. The Genverter© is connected through a DC PowerCube to the service battery and will start automatically if re-charging of the batteries is needed. Our AC PowerCube inverter is taking care of a non-stop 230 V 50 Hz (120 V/60 Hz) power supply. We offer complete systems from 2.5 to 12 kW output power.

3000/3600 rpm models up to 10 kVAWe offer two different technologies. Our 3000/3600 rpm range of diesel generators have been in the market for over 15 years. Main features of these high rpm sets are the small size and relatively low weight. Main difference compared with the 1500/1800 rpm models is the rotation speed. By doubling the rotation speed, more electrical power can be obtained from the engine. As a consequence, size and weight are more attractive compared with 1500/1800 rpm sets. We recommend our SQ low rpm series for applications requiring extended or continuous operation.Output voltage of our 3000/3600 SC (SuperCompact) models: : 120-240VAC - 60Hz and 230VAC - 50Hz, output power 3 kW – 9.4 kW. Products are available with sheet metal or polyester sound shield.

1500/1800 rpm models up to 54 kVAOur 1500/1800 low rpm SQ (Super Quiet) diesel generators are available from 6 kVA up to 32 kVA power rating. By paralleling two SQ 27 kVA generators, a system output of 54 kVA can be obtained.

Delta Exhaust Systems the finishing touchWhisperPower’s installation kits are essential to ensure correct and professional installation. This applies to our DELTA exhaust system. These are not only designed for our WhisperPower generator, but are ideal to manage engine noise, smoke, vibration as well as overboard discharges of engines and generators in general. Our exhaust kits are composed as follows.

• Our DELTA silencers/ waterlocks are designed for engines and generators positioned below the waterline. This system prevents the engine from the return flow of cooling water. An important additional feature and function is the noise reduction of the engine.

• Our DELTA water/ gas separator is designed to shift the exhaust fumes from the cooling water via two outlets: one above the waterline (fumes) and the second to discharge the cooling water. As a consequently, the exhaust noise is reduced drastically with no splah noise

• Our DELTA exhaust parts are made from fire proof GRP and fully comply with ABYC regulations

• Our kits include hoses (certified to ISO 13363/ marine use), heavy duty hose clamps, seacocks and through-hull fittings
