Welcome to GECDSB

One Drive For Business

Store, sync, share and easily collaborate on files securely with Microsoft’s OneDrive for Business.

No need for a flash drive, save your homework on OneDrive for Business. You will be able to access your files online anywhere, from any Internet con-nected device. You will also be able to easily share your work with your teacher and classmates.

No more flash drives! Cloud storage is a more secure alternative to removable media.

How Do I Share a Document Using OneDrive for Business?

Work collaboratively with classmates or share your work with your teacher by using the “Share” function in OneDrive.

Once you have a document uploaded to OneDrive, simply click on the lock icon.

Search for the GECDSB student or teacher by name in the search box and click Share.

Where are my online Office

Web Apps??

As part of your GECDSB Office365 you can use

Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel,

PowerPoint and OneNote online, anywhere using

any device for free!

You can access your Office Web Apps from the

O365 home screen.

OR access and create new documents right from

OneDrive.

Communicate Through Email

Once logged in click the Outlook icon to go to your email inbox. You have a unique email address that will stay with you through your school career at GECDSB.

Keep Yourself Organized

Use your personal Outlook calendar to or-ganize your events, due dates for assign-ments, appointments, etc. Your teacher may share a class calendar or add events to your calendar to keep track of class happen-ings and assignments.

Looking for Somewhere to Store Files?

Click the OneDrive icon from the home page to view your personal, unlimited document storage area. Click the upload icon to up-load documents to your OneDrive. By click-ing the +New button you can create docu-ments or folders to organize your files.

Express Yourself You can use O365 to create a blog or site through the Sites icon.

Get Started Students, access your Office 365 portal by clicking on the O365 link under the student tab on the Board web site (publicboard.ca).
