OUR MISSION

• The corporation shall be known as Military Family Relief Fund, Mid-Atlantic, Inc. (MFRFMA). The corporation is formed exclusively for charitable and education purposes within the meaning of Section 501 C (3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1954 or the corresponding sections in any future tax code. It was organized so that it can support the needs of current and formers members of the Military, their families, communities and associated organizations.

Board of DirectorsThe organization is governed by a Board of Directors that consists of: The Chairman of the Board, President, Vice-President, Secretary, and Treasurer which shall constitute the Executive Committee of the Corporation. Additionally there are up to nine (9) additional members. All board members serve a term of three years.

OVERVIEW• The MFRFMA exists to support, encourage, and honor the military,

their families, communities and associated organizations. By virtue of its independent status as a non-profit organization, it was designed to serve as an advocate for the members of the military, their families, communities and associated organizations.

• The continuing struggle to keep the support of military members and their families in the forefront is challenging. We support the Military, their families, communities and associated organizations. They rely on our support and face unique challenges.

• Your motivation for wanting to give back is your own; ours comes from family, friends and our love for this country.

• With your help, we will support the lives of thousands of members of the Military, their families, communities and associated organizations!

Veteran Health Programs

• MFRF MA supports programs that improve the well-being of veterans

• Support and services for those who care for Veterans

• Mental Health -Maintaining and improving the health and well-being of Veterans through excellence in health care, social services, education, and research. Support for research and education on the prevention, understanding and treatment of PTSD

• Readjustment Counseling (Vet Centers) -Offers services to eligible Veterans and their families in an effort to aid their successful transition from military to civilian life

• Substance Abuse Programs-Treatments addressing all types of problems related to substance use, from unhealthy use of alcohol to life-threatening addictions

• Women Veterans Health Care-Implementing positive changes in the provision of care for all women Veterans

Youth Programs

• Youth Programs support active duty, Air & Army Guard and Reserve Components and geographically dispersed service members and their families. The MFRF MA is committed to serving these military personnel and their families by reaching out and assisting them through robust child, youth and family programs, wherever the member resides.

MWR Programs

• The MFRF-MA (MWR) program is a program that directly supports readiness by providing a variety of support services. MFRF-MA offers units access to MWR trailers (2) and financial support for unit and family events.

Veterans Support

• The program’s mission is to enhance the quality of life for post-9/11 service members who have sustained physical and psychological wounds in the line of duty. Services include career transition and education programs, health and wellness counseling, and community building initiatives for military families as they transition into civilian life.
