Lady bug rime, single sounds and vowels - Instructions

• 2 players, or teams have a dice each.

• They must through the dice and move there counter along the board.

• When they land on a word or sound they have to say it then say the sounds in it. If they can they stay there, if not they go back to the square they were on.

• They have to land exactly on the finish.

Teachers notes • Can play on board as whole class • 2 players or two teams • Need dice and counters ( erasers work well) • There are 5 versions one for each short vowel sound. • Some words are made up phonetic words, but most are

real words. • Can play on their own allowing the teacher to walk around

and listen to them • There are rime ( all 5 vowels sounds) a single consonant, a

blends / digraphs and a vowels game in this file. Incase you need to try different sounds!
