ACTIVITY PLANNING: THE ISSUE
The need for more transparent activity planning, particularly in the area of mobile and platform rigs and well services was stressed. It was suggested that a 12 to 18 month rolling plan, conducted by a third party such as Petrodata or Bassoe, providing data by operator, would assist. It was believed such data were available to each operator and companies should be encouraged to be responsive to contractors’ needs.
Specifically:
For efficient deployment of resources activity plans should be:
Easier to access
Segment specific
Operator specific
More accurate / frequently updated
