Assumed knowledge: - Simple present form.- Habits.- Sports and hobbies.- Hours-Jobs

Anticipated problems: Ss may have problems with the pronunciation of some adverbs: usually / ju l /, often / f n/ ˈ ːʒʊə ɪ ˈɒ əand the position that they could have in a sentence, at the beginning of the sentence or in the middle.... and solutionsModel and ask the students to repeat several times (chorally, individually) in order to check pronunciation. Provide the Ss with some rules about the adverb position.-An adverb of frequency goes before a main verb (except with To Be)

Aids:Witheboard. Audios.Pictures.

Page 3: Ppp lesson plan format

- An adverb of frequency goes after the verb To Be.- When we use an auxiliary verb (have, will, must, might, could, would, can, etc.), the adverb is placed between the auxiliary and the main verb. This is also true for to be.

Good morning students.

Last week I was working when someone called me to inform me that I have won a 50’ TV, so she said:She: Could you come on Tuesday morning.Me: No, I can’t, I work in the mornings. She: Oh,mmm what about in the afternoon before 6 o’clock?Me: Mmm I’m sorry, everyday after work I go to the GYM from 5 P.M to 8 P.M. She: What about the weekend? our store is also open at the weekends.Me: That is perfect, I always have free time at the weekends, I’ll be there on Saturday morning. She: Ok, perfect we will be wainting for you.

What would you answer if someone ask you to meet her/him in the morning, in the afternoon, at the weekends, at night?

I want you to pay attention to the record and recognize if the adverbs used by the speakers are used to describe reapeted actions or actions that they do on rare occasions.

What adverb of frequency do we use to refer an action that we do regularly? (usually)Do we use always to refer an action that almost never happen? (no)

I always go to work.I never drink coffee.

PRACTICE

PRODUCTION

T writes questions about students` routine on the whiteboard.

Ss will write on their copybooks about their own routine according to the questions.

Ss show their answer in front of the class

T writes some answers in the whiteboard and asks to the students to repeat the answers. T corrects students’ pronunciation.

Ss are separated in partners, each partner will have a picture about people`s job. Ss will have to describe the person`s routines an their partner will have to guess who they are speaking about. For example: ´´This person usually gets up early every morning`` or ´´This person usually have to work in the kitchen``.

Wrap-up: T asks to Ss what they have learned today. Then T makes some questions to review the knoledge about daily routines. T asks Ss to repeat the answers that were written in the whiteboard.

I am going to write some questions and you have to answer according to your own daily routine in your copybooks. For example: How often do you spend time studying? or what time do you watch T.V.? You have 5 minutes to do it.

Now, I want you to change your position and seek a new partner to discuss your answers. You have 10 minutes. Then we are going to check all together.

Please, now repeat after me…..(the example write on the white board)

Ss name….. can you repeat please the number one….two….

Now, we are going to work in pairs and I will give you some pictures about people`s jobs. So, you have to describe the person`s routine and your partner will have to guess who are you speaking about according to your descriptions. You cannot show your picture to your classmate.

What did you learn today? (students answer). (I usually gets up at 8 o’clock)(I hardly ever ride my bike)

Well students, this is all for today. Have a nice day, see you tomorrow, bye.
