Grip Collar



1. Make sure all sealing areas of allconnecting parts (spigots, pipes orfittings) are faultless and clean,remove any excess varnish (tears) togive a smooth and even surface.

Assembling Procedures

2. Gently remove the EPDMrubber sealing collar from

the stainless steel shell ofthe coupling.



3. Slide in the rubber collar to one end of the tube until it reachesthe center of the collar.

4. The shell is then mounted on top of the rubber collar andsecured in place.

5. Push in another pipe or fitting fromthe other end of the coupling all theway to the center of the collar (asin step 4).

6. Tighten the screw with a screwwrench or a powered screwdriver.

7. To assemble a grip collar, simply attach 2segments together first before it is snapped onto the coupling.

8. The claw segments must be evenly wraparound the coupling, pay attention that the clawinserts are not placed on the metal surface topof the coupling.

9. Screw together loosely the grip collarsegments, and then inter- changeably tightenthe bolts crosswise so that the fastening partsare drawn together in parallel, and preferablywith the same spacing.

10. When tightening the screws and nuts, seat thewashers behind the bolt heads and nuts.




11. Apply the necessary torque(Nm) on all screws until firmlylocked with the use of a torchwrench. Torque ranging from12-65 Nm depending on thepipe diameter.

5. UPVC Pipe (Drainage)
