programs in various disciplines. Keeping in view our educational background, Bachelor of Arts
(B.A.) to be offered through ODL mode is very pertinent to the HEI’s mission and goals as it
endeavors to endow with excellence to the aspiring students who are destitute of higher
education because of the inadequate quantity of seats in the conservative approach of education
in various Universities. All the under graduate courses are offered by SGVU.
(c). Nature and target group of learners:
The curriculum of B.A. is designed in such a way that it helps the students to become not only
more employable but also encourage them to become better citizens for the society.. Primarily
the target group of learners will be :
those deprived of admission in the regular mode due to limited intake capacity.

a passion or as a means for movement up the promotional ladder.

(d). Appropriateness of the program to be conducted in the ODL mode for acquiring

B.A in ODL mode shall help the Students in the following ways :

• To facilitate access of myriad possibilities interdisciplinary perceptions offer to prospective

(e). Instructional Design:
i) Program Design: The curriculum is designed by academicians and industy experts, keeping in
view needs of the assorted groups of Students. Also, Self Learning Study Material (SLM) shall
be made available to the learners.
ii) Detailed Syllabus: As per the undergraduate course offered in the regular mode by SGVU.
iii) Duration of the Program: Minimum 3 years. Nevertheless, the studentswould have to
complete the program as per UGC guidelines.
iv) Student Support Service: Our library, “The House of Wisdom” and
additionalobtainableamenities for education in distance mode shall be made available to
undergraduate learners also. Along with this, students will be provided with quality Self
Learning Material(SLM).
(f). Procedure for Admissions, Curriculum transaction and Evaluation- The minimum
eligibility for BA programme is 10+2 from any recognized Board.. The curriculum is delivered
though the Print Self Learning Materials (SLMs) and Face to Face Counselling Session
supported by audio-video aids through the SGVU approved Study Centres across the STATE
strictly as per the norms and standard of the university. The assessment of the admitted students
to this programme is conducted on the basis of their assignments, test and performance in the
end semester examination.
The minimum eligibility for BA programme is 10+2 from any recognized Board.
