FUN AT PAINTBALL COMPETITION AT OLYMPIA COLLEGE

The IT students of Olympia College, Penang campus had a fun time at the Paintball Competition

organized by their club, ITec recently.

This competition was held to promote unity and teamwork among the students as that is one of

the important skills when they leave the college to start their career.

Besides the lectures and tutorials conducted in the lecture halls, we equally emphasize the

importance of the soft skills to our students so that they will be the Employers Choice as our

college slogan says said the club advisor Ms.Neesha Jothi.

Through exciting competitions like this we can establish a proactive attitude among our students

as well as promote a unity in team amidst cultural differences, this way learning would be more

interactive and optimal, she added.

Olympia College s Diploma in Information Technology (DIT) programme has been designed to meet the

demands of the increasing job market for I.T specialists. There a demand today for IT experts who really

know their job.

The primary objective of the Diploma in Information Technology programme is to develop students with

a strong, broad-based education in computing as a scientific and technological discipline. In this

programme, students will gain an appreciation of the foundations of computation, an understanding of the

structure of programming languages and the skills to put these concepts and technologies into practice.
