Name: Michelle Moak Grade: 4th Teaching Motto: Lead, Care, Inspire!! Years Teaching: 2nd year teaching at OLF What are your hobbies outside of school? I coach softball and I love spending time with my family. What made you go into this particular field? I love hanging out and getting to know the kids. Being in a school where you can teach and learn more about God is an amazing bonus!! My best day in the classroom is when: I love the moment when you actually see in a child’s face that they get what you

are teaching. The “ah-ha” moment! That’s the best! Who or what inspired you to become a teacher? I was blessed with a wonderful education. I looked up to several of my teachers and I hope to model their teaching styles. What are you looking forward to the most this year? I am looking forward to growing with this group of kids. I hope that together we can positively interact and influence our peers. What’s your one “must-have” item for your classroom? An electric stapler and pencil sharpener. That’s two must-have’s. Who do you admire or who inspired you the most & why? My daughters! Everyday they make me want to be a better person. They see the best in everyone!!

AWESOME MEET

On March 16th I went to a gymnastics meet in Hattisburg to compete in State. If I didn’t make the Regional team, I would have

to quit because of junior high sports. But if I did make the team,

I could have one more meet: Regionals in South Carolina.

My first event was beam and I got a 9.475. My second event

was floor and I got a 9.425. My third event was vault and I got a 9.650. My last event was bars

and I got a 9.625. All around, I got first place and I made the

Regional Team. It was AWESOME!

WOW! The “Class Act II” group is off to a fantastic start with the production of Follow That Rabbit, a wonderful play based on the classic book Alice in Wonderland. The cast list was posted and the students received their scripts, had a read-through, and have become familiar with the story. The play will be on Friday, May 10th. If you would like to volunteer to help with the show, please contact Ms. Cindy Grammar.

Open House/Family Picnic The School Advisory Board is hosting an open house/family picnic on Sunday, May 5th following 11:30 mass. Be on the lookout for ways you can volunteer your time and expertise to help recruit new families to our wonderful school. A day full of fun activities, food and fellowship is in the planning stages. Please contact Renee Dellenger @ 547-1315 if you would like to assist in any way.

Congratulations Cheerleaders Emry Stebly, Abby Yates, Jamie

Stanovich, Gabrielle Murray,

Abigayle Handler, Mary Kate

Wasilenko and Emma Leigh

Broussard all made the Jr. High

Cheerleading team at St. Patrick

High School.
