3. Be in prayer for Deb Schultz. Deb has to receive a stronger radiation and the doctors have extended the number of treatments.

4. Be in prayer for Bob Sullivan as he fights an infection in his leg. He left Friday for the VA Hospital in Saginaw. Be in prayer for Jennifer Roznowski concerning health issues.

5. Pray for Craig Ryan & family as Craig continues cancer treatment.

6. Pray for Loretta Beyer’s brother Jon stage 4 cancer.

7. Be in prayer for Sandy Zastrow. Sandy is facing many health is-sues. Pray for healing, comfort and peace.

8. Prayers for Bud Wegmeyer in Alpena Tender Care recovering from strep infection in his heart valves.

9. Prayers for Shirley & Jim Guthrie for struggles they are facing.

10. Pray for healing, strength and protection over the marriages of our church families.

11. As the new school year begins, let’s join our hearts together and remember to pray for all our students; from K-college as they en-counter many challenges both intellectually and socially each day—let’s pray that they remain faithful in their walk with the Lord.

There are many unspoken needs in our congregation, including upcom-ing surgeries or those struggling with chronic illness. Please remember them in your prayers.

Pastor & Elder Appreciation Month October is Pastor & Elder Appreciation Month at WOL! We encourage everyone to take some time during the month to show appreciation to our Shepherds. You can be a blessing to them through an encouraging note, email, gift or any special way you would like to say, “Thank you for being our shepherds!” A mailbox will once again be provided in the church foyer throughout the month, where you may drop off your notes, cards and letters. These will then be presented at the conclusion of the month. Let’s refresh their souls with an outpouring that expresses our gratitude, appre-ciation and most of all—our love.

GOSPEL HYMN SING The Berean Class will be hosting their second Gos-pel Hymn Sing, Sunday, October 16th at 6 PM in the fellowship hall. Bring cookies to share and your voices for an evening of singing great hymns. QUARTERLY BUSINESS MEETING MARK YOUR CALENDARS! Our next Quarterly Business Meeting is coming up on October 23rd at 5:30 PM. A tenta-tive agenda is posted on the credenza in the foyer and on the bulletin board in the lower level. BABY/CHILD DEDICATION WOL will have a Baby/Child Dedication on Sunday October 30th. Baby/Child Dedication is an opportunity for you, as parents, to covenant with the church to raise your child in the knowledge of Jesus Chris. WOL will pray that your child grows and matures, he or she will make the decision to accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. PICTURE DAYS It is time to update our WOL Pictorial Directory. Family pictures for the address and telephone directory will be taken Sunday October 23rd and Sunday October 30th. The pictures will be taken at three (3) locations; the Heritage Center en-trance, main entrance and in the fellowship hall. These will be casual pictures and taken at three different times. 8:45 AM, 10:15 AM and fol-lowing the Worship Service. There is not a charge and there will be no pictures to purchase. This is simply to help us get to know each other better as we regularly update the directory. We hope you will make every effort to be included as an updated directory helps build community at Word of Life.
