Two New Wednesday Night Classes Beginning October 2nd!
• The Bible Jesus Read (Philip Yancey) Brian Ridgedell, Facilitator The Old Testament is not a mysterious, outdated book. It is God’s biography, the story of His pas-sionate encounters with His people, and the pre-quel to the story of Jesus. It is also the Bible that Jesus read, used, and loved. Class runs October 2nd through November 20th.
• When Christians Get it Wrong (Adam Hamilton) Jen-nifer Teague, Facilitator When adults talk about the problems they have with Christianity and the Church, they often name certain attitudes and behaviors they believe are practiced too often by Christians: judging others, condemning people of other faiths, rejecting sci-ence and injecting politics into faith. In this class, we will tackle these issues and address the how’s and why’s of Christians getting it right when it comes to being Christ in the world. Class runs October 2nd through November 20th.
If you would like to register, please indicate which class in an email to [email protected]. We ask that all participants order their books before the start of class. They will not be available for purchase through the church. Some recommended online sources are: www.amazon.com, www.cokesbury.com, and www.cbd.com.
