October28 Pray for a Happy Birthday for Tom Davidson, the Mission’s Associate Director of Re- source Development. His work on behalf of the Lord is a blessing. October29 Marshall requests prayer over Jackie, a friend at the Mission who suffered a stroke. May God in His mercy restore them both. October30 Mark requests prayer for Courtney, Michael, Michelle, Edwin and Dominick who are try ing to overcome addiction. October31 The Mission requests a prayer of pro- tection over the people staying here and recovering from addiction. May God, in His gentle mercy watch over them always. October16 Today please give a prayer of thanks to the Lord for graciously providing farm volunteers throughout the season and blessing our Mission with and abundant harvest with which to feed the homeless he has placed at our door.

October17 Please pray for God’s blessing on our new Work Certification program at the Mission, that all who enter it will be encouraged to graduate with their construction certification and be able to go from homeless to home.

October18 Pray that housing and employment will become available for our graduates who are ready to move out on their own.

October19 An anonymous program participant requests prayer for all the sick and the elderly in the program to over come temptation and addiction and be delivered into the hands of Christ.

October20 Brandon requests prayer for Sumdia, Melinda, and Darlene in the program and for Stephen’s physical healing.

October21 Pray that Arnaldo’s family, especially his mother, wife, and daughter, remain in good health and that the Holy Spirit protect them while he is recovering at the Mission.

October22 Dominick requests prayer for a friend, Mania, also in recovery at the Mission to remove her depression and guide her in recovery and overcom ing homelessness.

October23 Pray Happy Birthday blessing for Toni Graef, Family Life Center Case Supervisor. Her work on behalf of homeless moms and their children is a gift to our Mission and to the Lord.

October7 Please pray over the Mission and our finances so that we can serve the homeless and that our work will continue to please and honor the Lord.

October8 Please pray for Presi-dent and CEO Bill Southrey’s health, that he will continue to find the strength to serve and direct the Mission.

October9 Pray for the volunteers who tire-lessly help us in the kitchen, in the clothing room, answering phones, working on our farm, and spreading God’s word. We are truly blessed to have their partnership in this ministry to those God has called us to serve.

October10 Pray for the protection and health of our staff. Please pray for the family of our brother, Chaplain Jeff, who recently left us to be home with the Lord..

October11 Please pray for Lucille, a homeless woman recovering from addiction who seeks forgive-ness from her daughter. May God’s mercy mend her heart and save her from temptation.

October12 Ellen, a homeless woman living at the Mission, requests prayer for an apartment, finances and replacement of prescription glasses that she lost. May the mercy of Jesus rest on her and give her comfort and healing.

October13 Birthday blessings to Chaplain Ron Bishop, Director of Barnabas House, the Mission’s resi-dential housing for men who are on the road to recovery from homeless-ness. We are grateful for the special work you do.

October14 Please pray for a birthday blessing on Kathy Schmookler, our Mission’s Volunteer Program Man-ager, for her care of the homeless and work of the Lord without whom we would not be able to serve others.

October1 An anonymous man living on the street requests prayer over his daughter Charish that God will watch over her life when he cannot be there for her. God grant him the strength and the wisdom to continue to seek healing for his life.

October2 John, a homeless man struggling with health and personal issues, asks you to pray that God will grant him mercy and healing.

October3 Jack, a homeless man struggling from the debilitating ef-fects of a stroke, seeks peace over his mom’s passing. Ask God to help him recover from depression and physi-cal ailments, and that he may one day be well enough to hold a job and be reunited with his family.

October4 Birthday blessings to James Gantner, Evening Chaplain. We give thanks for his compassion and service to the poor and those struggling with addiction at the Mission.

October5 Please pray for a special birthday blessing for Rev. Steve Bybee, the Mission’s Vice President and Debra Giacomoni, Director of Wom-en’s Ministry at the Mission. Their service to the poor is much appreciated.

October6 Birthday blessings to Corrine Ferrante, Family Life Center Counselor at the Mission. We are grateful for the special work she does in guiding the
