Prayerwalking Training

Praying ‘On Site’With ‘Insight’

Prayerwalking

What is prayerwalking?

Simply defined as “praying on site” with “insight.”

Prayerwalking is NOT:

Incidental, but intentional.

A replacement for prayer meetings, but a refreshment.

An end in itself, but a catalyst for dozens of other Kingdom activities.

Prayerwalking

Prayerwalking is intercession…

As You Go…Prayerwalking

Expect to be changed personally.

Pray aloud.

Walk slowly and take it in.

Pray for what is seen and unseen.

Pray using scripture.

Expect God to answer.

Be ready to share…

Tools for Prayerwalking

Witnessing tools/Bible.Follow-up Cards.Journal/Paper and Pen.Comfortable and culturally acceptable shoes/clothes.Water/snack.Sunscreen/hat/reflective gear.Map/Contact name & address.

After You’ve Been Prayerwalking

Give a report.

Designate a follow-up leader/contact.

Evaluate.

Keep Journal.

Pray together as a group.

Consider this…

God is calling prayerwalkers out of the church to impact the world because never do we accomplish more, quicker, than when we’re praying.

Final Challenge…

Get serious about being prayerwalkers/warriors. Follow the example of the disciples:

They gathered in earnest intercession prior to Pentecost.

They prayed for 10 days, preached for 10 minutes, and 3,000 got saved.

Want to shorten your pastor’s sermons? Then get really serious about praying. (Psalm 126:5-6)
