PRAYER CALENDAR SEPTEMBER 2017 Dear Friends, This month we are praying for women in ministry. In the Bible, we read about many great examples of women in ministry who served alongside Jesus (Luke 8:1). We know many names of the women who served with the apostle Paul: Lydia (Acts 16:14-15), Tabitha (Acts 9:36-42) and Phoebe (Romans 16:1-2). For me, it was almost 30 years ago when I was driving home from church with tears coming down my face as I cried out to God to allow me to minister to women around the world. It is the greatest blessing and privilege for me to minister to women around the world and across generations as part of our vision and mission for TWR Women of Hope. Today, women have a vital role in ministry to women. Women need women and relate to women when they hear others sharing their lives and challenges. Please continue to pray for strength and wisdom as many of our sisters are ministering in challenging areas and need our prayers to sustain them in their work. Also, to help us be sustained and grow as faithful intercessors, the prayer calendar will have a companion starting in September. This prayer companion guide will provide additional reading materials, prayers, and action points designed to further grow our faith through prayer. If you’re leading a prayer group, this new resource will help to prepare you for that role. Let us know at twrwomenofhope.org/companionguide if you are interested in receiving the companion guide by email. In addition, I want to extend a special invitation to you to join us Oct. 24 as we gather for our second Global Prayer Call. In a couple of weeks, we will send more instructions on how to connect to the call, and you can find more information below. For now, please let us know if you are interested in participating and which time slot you would prefer.
