E kaabo - Welcome to the Praying Mothers

The leadership of the Praying Mothers would like to extend a warm welcome to all attendees of our second Family Event. This prayer group which started on March 20th, 2010 in obedience to the leading of the Holy Spirit, has become a place of encouragement and growth for many Christian mothers. Prayer services have held every Saturday over three years in an atmosphere of unity. Praying Mothers share in common a deep faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, experiences as immigrant Yoruba mothers and the strong desire to raise godly children. Praying Mothers has a geographical spread from Nigeria, to the UK, to Canada and to about 16 states in the US, including: California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Louisiana, Michigan, Mississippi, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas and Maryland. Membership of the group numbers at over 80 mothers and counting. Praying Mothers has become one of the leading virtual communities of Christian mothers of our generation.

Though a young organization in comparison to many older establishments, we have been able to begin making an impact on the Nigerian educational sector through our annual educational mission to underfunded schools in Nigeria. In 2011, we donated computers and a printer to a school in Ekiti State. In 2012, we donated much needed desks and chairs to a school in Lagos State where children sat on the floor to receive instruction. In 2013 our focus is to give desks to a school in Kogi state. Additionally, we support Jola and Jumoke (JnJ) a group of Nigerian American Christian young adults. Currently about 56 young men and women who are in colleges, graduate schools, professional schools or in good jobs or businesses mentor and support each other on Face Book through JnJ.

At the Praying Mothers, every member is a minister and everyone is encouraged to teach and instruct regularly. Praying Mothers core leadership consists of Ayo Odunsi, Kemi Osibanjo, Lola Adebanjo, Tola Oronti, Bunmi Oyeleye and Teni Osundeko.

Over this weekend, as we celebrate our second Family Event, we thank God for how far He has lead us and look to the future with absolute faith in Christ, our Rock and Inspiration. We thank all Praying Mothers and their families for coming down to Memphis and welcome you to what will surely be an amazing event. Welcome! E kaabo!

The Star-Spangled Banner

Oh, say can you see by the dawn’s early lightWhat so proudly we hailed at the twilight’s last gleaming?

Whose broad stripes and bright stars thru the perilous fight,O’er the ramparts we watched were so gallantly streaming?

And the rocket’s red glare, the bombs bursting in air,Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there.

Oh, say does that star-spangled banner yet waveO’er the land of the free and the home of the brave?

Pledge of Allegiance

Far above rubies is the price of a praying mother. She rises while it is yet night to tend to the

needs of her household. She is adorned with strength and honor. The words of her mouth are anointed with wisdom, and her tongue is the law of kindness. She is lifted up by the fruits of

her labor. A woman who fears the lord is to be praised. Happy family reunion, Praying Mothers!!!

The Macaulay Family wishes all the members of the Praying Mothers Organization well on the occasion of the Second Annual Praying Mothers Event being held in

Memphis TN.

We were lost and dead in sin. We were by nature objects of God's wrath. But God Loved us! That Love caused Him to do something about our situation.

God is rich in mercy. God was kind to us 'in' Christ because He loved us.

The Praying Mothers have taken His example and used it to sow seeds of grace. They water them with their deeds of charity, and nurture them with the

sunlight of God’s love.

“If seeds in the black earth can turn into such beautiful roses, what might not the heart of man become?”
