After a warm (read spectacular!) reception in 2015, we're finally back and all set to create a whole new set of memories in the Abode of Clouds with you. Some of you might have been with us before and know what the Weekender experience is about, like seasoned pros. We'd like to make sure you've got everything planned so here's a handy-dandy checklist! 1. READ THIS GUIDE: It’ll tell you all about the festival, the stages and a whole lot more. It’ll help you plan which artist to see. It’s very useful – we hope it does a Dylan and wins a certain literature prize next year. 2. SORT OUT TRAVEL: Parking is available at the venue at a separate fee. However, if you plan to consume alcohol, then please make sure you have a designated driver or share a ride. You could also hop on the festival shuttle service running from Police Bazaar, Fire Brigade and Polo Grounds in Shillong to the festival venue and back. Limited shuttle tickets will also be available at the venue box-office and at the pickup points on the festival dates. PRE-FESTIVAL CHECKLIST 3. ONCE YOU ARRIVE: Get to the box office and show your email / mobile confirmation along with a valid ID card in exchange for your festival band. Do not take it off till the festival concludes: It can survive rain, sleep, baths, moshpits and your ex. 4. WHAT TO WEAR AND GET ALONG: There is no dress code – so feel free to wear anything. Our photographers say “the wackier, the better”! Be prepared for rain! So carry umbrellas, raincoats, bag covers and adequate protection for mobile-phones, cameras and rain-averse whiny friends. Get cards or cash (for food & drink coupons and official festival & artist merch!) and most importantly, a smile! 5. NON-TICKETED BUDDIES? If you're coming with friends who are not big on planning and have not yet picked their festival tickets, good news: tickets can be purchased at the box-office! 6. YOUAREHERE

PRO TIPSBACARDI NH7 Weekender is the Happiest Music Festival for a reason – help us keep it that way. Here are your commandments. Mind by being nice to fellow festival-goers, dancing, making merry and imparting the State to others.

• Thou shalt help youngsters, elders and those requiring special assistance. Thou could be part of their happiest memory!

• Thou shalt drink only if thou art over LDA, and thou shalt do so responsibly. Post inebriation, thou shalt not drive, operate machinery or call your boss.

• Thou shalt prefer a live experience to attempting to record it.

• Thou shalt not take thy festival wristband off until after the festival (thou can keep it on till next year if thou wishes to!)

• Thou shalt not litter. Like seriously bro.

• Thou shalt cooperate with security at the gate and at the stages. They art there to keep thou safe.

• Thou shalt partake of food and merch at the Bazaar and be merry.

• Thou shalt discover and appreciate new music, outside of your comfort zone.

Meet the 30 selected artists from the NH7 Periphery Art project,a unique travelling art exhibit! Their designs were inspired by a common theme 'Utopia'. You can see their artwork all around the boundary of the festival grounds.

FIRSTWEEKENDER?5 STAGES, 50 PERFORMANCES TO CHOOSE FROMThe schedule will tell you who's on when. You don't want to miss your favourite artists – so make your own plan (here’s where friendships will be tested!)

WRISTBANDThat thing our team at the box-oce tied to your wrist? That gives you access to all the stages and public areas at the festival. It's everything-proof: water, mosh, pets and oce rules. Wristbands once taken o are not replaced. Keep it on!

BAZAAR @ BACARDI NH7 WEEKENDERAll that moshing / dancing uses up calories. We’ve got plenty of food to replenish you to get you back to peak headbanging form. And our flea market will give you a bagful of merch to take back home and show o!

ART INSTALLATIONSWe’ve taken a lot of care to make sure all your Instagram pics are double-tap-worthy. So you’ll find cool signs, random art and the awesome Periphery Art Project all around!

BUCKETS & MUGSIcons of Bacardi NH7 Weekender! To say that drink is available at the festival would make us seem like just some ol’ pub. But how many pubs give you something you can take home?

GOING GREENLoved Captain Planet? We did too! Which is why we’re separating our recyclable waste (anything plastic) from food + organic waste. Signs will tell you what to dump where. Keep the Happiest Music Festival just that for the environment too!

STAY SAFE, STAY HAPPY!It’s a light-heavy, sound-heavy event, so take precautions if you have known problems. Earplugs for kids under 10 available at the box oce. Our first aid center will take care of most things that might come up, except broken hearts.

AMENITIESATMs to ensure you never run out of cash. A medical tent in case something goes wrong (and we hope you don’t have to visit). And of course, toilets – when you need to let it all out (and we’re not talking about emotional anger here!). Need anything? Our volunteers are all over the festival grounds. Nothing should stop you from having a great time.

THINGS TO DOIN SHILLONG

The birth of Weekender… Sort of. Vijay Nair and Pentagram hung out at Glastonbury and the words ‘why don’t’ and ‘back home’ were used in close proximity to each other.

JUNE 26, 2005

NOISEWAREThe first band to ever play at the Bacardi NH7 Weekender! December 10, 2010 at 4 PM.

ASIAN DUB FOUNDATIONThe very first headliners – followed by illustrious names like Karnivool, AR Rahman, Megadeth, Mark Ronson, The Wailers and of course… Steven Wilson.

The festival is in its seventh year (and its second in Shillong!) – the first in Pune, 2010 (wipes tear) had a 40ft giant disco ball over the electronic stage! Later, there was a Weekender with a lake and a Loch Ness Monster. BACARDI NH7 Weekender has also travelled to Delhi, Bengaluru and Kolkata. And this year it heads to Hyderabad (shiny new attendees!) and also hosts one-day events in Puducherry, Mysore, Jaipur and Nagpur.
