LOCAL CITY TOURS:

Tour of New Delhi Duration: 4 Hours

The tour to Imperial Delhi will include a visit to the

Qutub Minar, the tallest stone tower in India. Qutub-

ud-din Aibak started it in 1199. Pulling down 27 Hindu

and Jain temples and using their columns erected the

attached Quwwat-ul-Islam mosque also built by him.

Then visit Humayun’s tomb, built by the widow of the

second Mughal Emperor, Humayun, it is an

outstanding monument in the Indo-Persian style, a precursor of the Taj Mahal. The tour also

includes a drive past the imposing India Gate, the Parliament building and the Rashtrapati

Bhawan, the President’s residence.

Tour of Old Delhi Duration: 4 Hours

The area around Red Fort in North Delhi, is part of the

historic city of Shahjahanabad, built by the Mughal

Emperor Shah Jahan in the 17th Century. Now known

as Old Delhi, it remains largely unchanged in its historic

ambience and walking through its narrow lanes will

take you back to an earlier time. We first visit Rajghat,

the memorial of Mahatma Gandhi and National Gandhi

Museum. The final stop of the tour is the visit to Red fort (Lal Qila). Built during the reign of

Emperor Shah Jahan was a residence to the royal family.

Excursion to Jaipur – The Pink City – 6 AM to 9 PM

Delhi – Jaipur – Approx 260 kms – Approx 5 Hours Drive

Morning after breakfast around 0600hrs - journey by

road will start for Jaipur. Enroute visit Amber Fort located

on the outskirt of the city. The Fort is remarkable for the

majestic grandeur of its surroundings as for its sturdy

battlements and beautiful palaces located on top of a

barren hill - it gives a breathtaking view of its

surroundings. Also enjoy a joy ride on Elephant ascend

the rampart.

Later proceed for sightseeing tour of the Pink City visiting City Palace - where the former

Maharaja's family still resides in one part. Rest of the Palace now serves as a Museum. It has a

Day 1: Delhi-Agra

Welcome to the Indian Capital- Delhi.

Meet and greet by Alpcord Representative at the Hotel and hand over the India travel kit that

contains all your hotel and transport vouchers.

On the first day of the tour, you will take a breathtaking drive to

Agra through the Indian country side. Upon arrival, you proceed to

see the architectural wonder of the World, the unsurpassed Taj

Mahal. This monument is a fine example of the fusion of many

architectural wonders of the World. After sightseeing of the Taj

Mahal the tour continues with a visit to the Agra Fort. From the

little octagonal tower in the Agra Fort one can get the most amazing view of the Taj Mahal. The

tower lies across the River Jamuna. It was here that Aurangzeb, the third son of Shah Jahan,

kept his father under house arrest where the Emperor spent the last years of his life gazing at

the tomb of his beloved.

Evening visit to the marble factory to witness the inlay work of precious and semi-precious

stones into marble. The first day of the tour ends here and you will be transferred to your hotel

for the overnight stay.

Day 2: Delhi

After breakfast, you can take an excursion to the ancient ghost city

of Fatehpur Sikri. The city was built in red sandstone in honour of

Saint Salim Chisti who foretold the birth of 3 sons to Emperor Akbar.

The place is an example of strong stability combined with creativity.

Each important edifice here represents uniqueness by itself.

Outstanding among them are: the Diwan-e-Khas, Punch Mahal, the

Tomb of Salim Chisti, and the Buland Darwaza. Once you are done with the Sightseeing you

proceed to get back to Delhi.

Day 02 : Jaipur / Delhi

Morning visit the Amber Fort in the Aravali Hills, which is a great example of Rajput (Medieval Hindu) style architecture. Later, Sawai Jai Singh changed the capital to Jaipur. The Amber fort was one of the popular sights of attraction in Jaipur, where the tourists can enjoy elephant rides from the bottom of the Amber fort to the hilltop. By standing in the hill top the tourist can see the excellent views of Maota Lake. Some of the fascinating sightseeing inside the fort includes Raj Mahal, Suraj Pol, Diwan-I-Aam, Ganesh Pol, Jai Mandir, Sohag Mandir, Singh Pol, Shila Mata temple, and Palace of Man Singh. Afterwards go for sightseeing of Jaipur city visiting City Palace, Jantar Mantar {Observatory}, Hawa Mahal {Palace on wind} etc. Afternoon drive back to Delhi. Golden Triangle Tour

Delhi – Agra - Jaipur

Day 01 - Delhi to Agra ( Approx 205 Km & 4.5 hours Drive)

Depart for Agra at 07: 30 AM. Reach Hotel in Agra and check in to the Hotel. Time to freshen up.

Afternoon Visit to World famous “Taj Mahal” built by the Mughal Emperor Shahjahan as a

memorial to his wife, Mumtaz Mahal. After her untimely death, Shah Jahan had her mortal

remains buried in this mausoleum. And after his own demise he was placed to rest next to his

beloved queen in the same mausoleum. Under the dome, below the ground level, in a dimly lit

chamber, lie the mortal remains of Shahjahan and his beloved queen Mumtaz, reminding the

world of their undying love.

Later visit to Agra fort, Within a radius of 3 kilometers, on the banks of the river Yamuna, rises the

crescent like Agra Fort. Designed and built by Akbar in 1565 A.D., the fort is surrounded by a 70

feet high wall. It houses the beautiful Pearl Mosque and numerous palaces including the Jahangir

Mahal, Diwan-i-Khas, Diwan-i-Am and Moti Masjid. Evening free for leisure & Overnight at the

hotel.

Day 02 - Agra to Jaipur (Approx 230 kms – 4.5 hours drive ) en-route visit to Fatehpur Sikri –

(optional )

After early morning breakfast (07:30 AM to 08:30 AM), leave by surface for Jaipur, on arrival check

into the Hotel.

In the afternoon we proceed for half day city tour of Jaipur. Hawa Mahal is one of the most common and popular tourist attractions in Jaipur. Hawa Mahal was basically used as a veil by the royal women folk to watch the proceedings on the road below. Today it is the one of most visited monuments in Jaipur. The City Palace is another beautiful landmark that was built by Kachchwah Rajput rulers of Jaipur. The City Palace is a classic example of Mughal and Rajput architecture. A part of the palace today is museum that houses a collection of rare manuscripts, weapons, Mughal carpets and costumes, and Mughal and Rajasthani miniatures. Jantar Mantar makes another wonderful sight to visit. Built in 1718 by Sawai Jai Singh, Jantar Mantar Observatory is one of the five observatories that were built by the king. The observatory was built to study the movement of stars. The observatory is built in stone and marble. Evening free for leisure & overnight at the hotel.

Day 03 - Jaipur to Delhi ( Approx 260 Km & 5 hours drive )

After early morning breakfast, Morning visit to Amber fort with Amber Fort is another famous tourist attraction in Jaipur. The Amber Fort was built by Raja Man Singh in the 16th century and was completed by Sawai Jai Singh in the 18th century. The fort offers magnificent views of the surrounding area. The fort is a mix of Mughal and Rajput architecture and is built in red stone and white marble.

Later drive back for Delhi.

Day 01/ Delhi - Haridwar

Morning departure after having breakfast from hotel to Haridwar. Arrive Haridwar & transfer to hotel. Afternoon visit various temples including Pareshwar Mahadev Temple, Daksha Mahadev Temple and Mansa Devi Temple. Evening visit Har-ki-Pauri (the footstep of God)- one of the most sacred ghats in India. People say that this ghat was built by Vikramaditya in memory of his brother Bhartrihari. This ghat is also known as Brahmakund. Later witness Aarti of the Holy River Ganges. Aarti is the beautiful ceremony in which deeyas (the oil lamps) are offered to God. Aarti can be done to a deity in the temple or it can be done to a saint. It is performed to God, in any manifestation, any form, by any name. The essence of the aarti ceremony is a time when we say "thank you," and we offer the light of our thanks, the light of our love and the light of our devotion. We realize that the small deeya is nothing compared to the divine light which shines on us all day. Night stay in Haridwar.

Day 02/ Haridwar - Rishikesh - Delhi

Morning spend 01 hour with astrologer to discover your future, love fortune, lucky number, compatibility with your life partner, zodiac signs, professional astrological information or any other information required by you. Later drive to Rishikesh - also known as the 'place of sages', at the confluence of the Chandrabhaga and Ganga. It is believed that God by the name of 'Hrishikesh' had appeared as an answer to the hard penances by Rabhiya Rishi and henceforth the place derived its name. It is the starting point for the Char dham pilgrims but also for the people who are interested in meditation, yoga and other aspects of Hinduism. In Rishikesh visit Laxman Jhula- a hanging bridge on the river Ganga is one of the most famous spot in Rishikesh. According to Indian mythology, Lakshman, the younger brother of Lord Rama crossed the Ganga with the help of hanging bridge made of Jute. The bridge offers a scenic view of the river Ganga as it tumbles down to Haridwar. Also visit Bharat Mandir - the oldest temple in Rishikesh, near the Triveni Ghat. This temple is dedicated to Bharat, the younger brother of Lord Ram. Optional activities -White water rafting. Late afternoon drive to Haridwar & transfer back to Delhi to hotel.
