Scope
• Develop Medical Equipment and Systems Responsibilities Matrix.
• Survey Medical Equipment
• Class I (fixed),
• Class II (major movable),
• Class III (minor movable) Medical Equipment in the existing hospital.
• Establish and maintain a comprehensive equipment database.
• Develop equipment specifications.
• Develop equipment floor-plan layouts and elevations.
• Develop equipment budgets.
• Prepare Purchase Orders.
• Assist Parkland with the purchasing.
• Track the medical equipment supply chain.
• Plan and install mock-ups.
• Integrate equipment with EMR.
Objectives
• Parkland’s medical equipment needs are clearly, accurately,
completely defined and coordinated at every facet of the supply
chain.
• Equipment design features and performance are optimized.
• Clutter is minimized.
• Design Phase Coordination ensure that medical equipment
infrastructure requirements are addressed in the design.
• Construction Phase Coordination addresses medical equipment
“commissioning” requirements. Equipment is procured, tagged, set
up, installed, deployed, and tracked.
• There is full biomedical equipment integration with Electronic Medical
Record systems.
• Occupancy Phase. Training, maintenance, and reporting
arrangements are addressed.
• This engagement contributes a fair share toward meeting Parkland’s
25% MWBE goal.

• Criterion 1. Company Profile and Resources. (Weight – 20 points)
• Criterion 2: Relevant Medical Equipment Planning Experience and Technical Knowledge. (Weight - 30 points)
• Criterion 3. Workforce Assets Available for this Project. (Weight - 20 points)
• Criterion 4. References and Sample Work Products (Weight – 20 points)
