I am looking forward to a great year and know that our combined efforts will make it a success. Please read the following and acknowledge by signatures at the bottom of the form and returning it to me. Objective: The goal of this course is to provide students with a foundation for the study of Calculus and above. The mathematical topics covered may be identified by reviewing the textbook “Precalculus Enhanced with Graphing Utilities, 5e” by Sullivan and Sullivan. School Wide Guidelines: 1. Be On Time (in your seat quietly working on the calendar & warm-up when bell rings) 2. Be Prepared (bring all your required materials & work with you everyday) 3. Show Respect (to yourself, your classmates, your teachers, and your campus) Classroom Expectations: 1. Listen to and follow directions. 2. Save personal issues for after class 3. Work quietly at your desk bell to bell 4. Keep all electronics off & out of sight 5. Restroom passes in emergencies only 6. Absences are your responsibility to handle Consequences: 1. Warning & Loss of Points 2. Morning/Lunch Detention 3. Student conference and/or Parent conference 4. Referral/Administrator action Required Materials: 1. 2 Spiral Notebooks (At least 100 pages ea.) 2. Precalculus Textbook (Yes, everyday!) 3. Calculator (Graphing) 4. Pens, Pencil, and Eraser 5. Ruler and Protractor Grading: 80% Assessment (Tests, Quizzes, and Projects) 90%-100% A 15% Practice (Homework, DMR, Notes) 80% -89% B 5% Other (Attendance, Calendar, Participation) 70%-79% C 60%-70% D Below 60% F Questions?
