EUROPEAN RESIDENTS IN PLASTIC SURGERY “How can I put it into Practice”

Dear Colleague,

It is a great pleasure to invite you to join us in the charming island of Favignana, from 18 to 21 of June 2015, for the upcoming EuRePS (European Residents in Plastic Surgery) Meeting.

The meeting is organized by the “School of Specialization in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, University of Palermo”, directed by Prof. Francesco Moschella, and promises to be a first-class educational event that focuses on the latest advances in Plastic Surgery. With its diverse mix of didactic presentations, debates, and cutting-edge abstract presentations, all participants will have the opportunity to update their knowledge in the field, confirm their current practices and receive valuable take-home information on exciting new management approaches and surgical techniques. The event is open for both Residents and Specialists from all the European Universities and more but we remind you that only Residents can be speakers. An opportunity to meet, to study, to enjoy ourselves working hard!

The Meeting is open to 200 participants according to the date of the registration.

ABSTRACT CONTEST We are happy to announce that

the EuRePS Scientific Committee opened the EuRePS Abstract Contest.

The Contest is intended for Residents.

You will have the opportunity to present your scientific work to an international audience and take part to the abstract competition with important awards.

Please submit abstracts choosing between the selected topic and send us your best scientific work !

Once your abstract has been accepted, you will have the chance to present your research at the Meeting.

Accessibility How to reach Favignana.

By plane:

Vincenzo Florio Airport (Trapani/Birgi)

Falcone-Borsellino Airport (Palermo)

Charter flights and regular airlines from the principal Italian and European cities.

The nearest airports are Birgi in Trapani or Falcone Borsellino in Palermo. Here there are taxis and buses; you can take them to reach Trapani and its port. We suggest, whenever possible, to land in Trapani as this is the nearest airport, just 30 minutes away from the town port. The journey from Palermo to Trapani port takes around 2 hours.

Siremar and Ustica Lines run several hydrofoils crossing daily to Favignana (20 minutes) all year round.

Language The official language of the Meeting is English. No simultaneous translation will be available.

Climate Favignana enjoys an enviably warm and mild climate due to its location in the Mediterranean sea, enjoying warm temperatures and sunshine throughout the year. Average highs of 27.0ºC and average lows of 17ºC.

Clothing During the entire Meeting, attire will be smart casual and informal.
