THE BRIEF Bolton Wanderers FC were looking to upgrade their sporting facilities in line with ‘academy status’ requirements. Sibcas were selected to supply high quality changing room, canteen and medical facilities. PROJECT SCALE • Single Storey - PermaSpace • 2 no 70x24 buildings • 1 no 60x30 building • The buildings were required in time for the start of the new football season so Sibcas only had 2 months lead time during the busiest period • Project value was circa £127k BUILDING USE • Changing Facilities • Medical Facilities • Canteen • Toilet CHALLENGES Bolton Wanderers discussed utilising buildings which came off hire from Everton FC. Sibcas had to agree and modify changes to meet the latest building regulations as well as advising the client on best value groundworks to accommodate the Sibcas buildings within a tight and restricted area. OUTCOME The PermaSpace buildings were successfully installed on time, within budget and to the highest standards, exceeding client expectations. Sibcas have since upgraded the facilities as well as adding additional facilities including a gymnasium in line with ‘academy plus’ status.
