4. Entry fees shall not be refunded if a dog is absent, disqualified,excused by veterinarian or judge, or barred from competition byaction of Event Committee.

5. Refunds will not be given in Nosework due to failure of a pre-trial.

6. Every effort will be made to find all duplicate entries before pro-cessing. If a duplicate entry is processed, however, no refund willbe made.

7. Entry overpayments may be donated to the general trophy fund.8. If, because of riots, civil disturbances, or other acts beyond the

control of the host organization, it is impossible to open or tocomplete an event, no refund of entry fee will be made.

9. If, in the opinion of the host club, the well-being of dogs, exhibitorsor spectators is at risk due to extreme weather conditions such asbut not limited to snow storms, hurricanes, tornados, lightning orextreme heat, the host club may cancel or stop an event beforecompletion. No refunds will be made in such cases.

ENTRY ELIGIBILITY1. Dogs must be permanently registered with UKC, have a Tempo-

rary Listing (TL) number, or have a Limited Privilege (LP)/Perfor-mance Listing (PL) listing number by the closing date and time inorder to enter. No exceptions will be made. Entries for ineligibledogs will be returned.

2. Dogs must meet the eligibility requirements for the event whichthey are entering. For requirements, refer to the appropriateevent rules and regulations.

ENTRY CONFIRMATION, ARMBANDS AND JUDGING PROGRAM1. Receipt of online entries will be acknowledged upon submission,

but this does not constitute confirmation of a valid entry.2. Electronic confirmation of entries will be sent to the e-mail

address included on the entry form as soon as the entry hasbeen accepted and processed. If you do not receive a confirma-tion by the Saturday preceding these events (June 9, 2018)please notify UKC.

3. The Judging Program will not be mailed but will be available from theUKC website approximately ten days prior to the PREMIER Event.

4. One armband will be assigned to each entered dog for allevent(s) in which the dog is entered for the weekend. Entry con-firmation information will be printed on the back of the arm-band. Armbands will be mailed prior to the event.

CLASS CHANGE/CORRECTION OF ENTRY1. Owners are responsible for the accuracy of information on the

entry forms. Owners are responsible for any errors made on entryforms, regardless of who may make such errors. Owners andexhibitors are responsible for correcting any errors on their entry.

2. If, according to the owner’s records, dogs that have completedthe requirements for a title after the closing of entries may bemoved up from the entered class to the class for which it is eligi-ble, provided the move up is requested in writing to UKC notlater than one-half hour prior to the start of any regular judgingat the show in which the entry is being made.

3. Any corrections to entries must be made in writing to UKC usingthe appropriate form provided not later than one-half hour priorto the start of any regular judging at the show.

3. New Total Dog Classic Bye-In! Any dog that earned a Total DogAward at a 2018 Classic event will automatically be added to ourTotal Dog Qualifiers Parade and Total Dog Groups and Best inShow competition. Classic qualifiers must enter at least oneevent at Premier and include their Classic Bye-In slip with theirPremier entry form.

4. Total Dog Hunting Title Bye-In! Dogs that have earned a huntingtitle (including HTX) in any hunting event recognized by UKC onor before April 9, 2018 is eligible to compete for Total Dog. Alldogs must be designated as entering Total Dog upon submissionof entry into the conformation class in which the dog is eligiblefor on Friday, June 15, 2018.

Total Dog Qualifiers Parade, Total Dog Groups and Total Dog BestIn Show Competition will follow after PREMIER Best in Show Com-petition on Saturday, June 16, 2018 in the Main Expo Building.After the conclusion of Total Junior Parade and the Announcementof Total Junior qualifiers the Total Dog Qualifiers will take place.(consult the Judging Program for changes in time or location):1. A parade of “Total Dog” qualifiers (including Altered) will kick-off

this special recognition and competition. All Total Dog qualifiers(dog AND handler teams) will report for the parade of Total Dogqualifiers, followed by the announcement of the Total Dog Qual-ifiers (including Altered).

2. Total Dog qualifiers will then compete in Total Dog Groups. TheTotal Dog Groups are the standard eight group designations. Eachdog that qualifies will compete in the group that its breed belongsto. There will be NO ALTERED TOTAL DOG GROUP COMPETITION.

3. Total Dog Group One winners will proceed to the Total Dog Best InShow competition and compete for the 2018 PREMIER Total DogBest In Show and the 2018 PREMIER Total Dog Reserve Best In Show.

4. Following the Total Dog Best in Show, the Altered Total Dog qual-ifiers will compete for a 2018 PREMIER Altered Total Dog Best inShow and 2018 Premier Altered Total Dog Reserve Best in Show.

General Building and Parking Information1. Building and Grounds will be open to exhibitors at 3 p.m. on

Tuesday, June 12, 2018. Overnight security is not provided. Alltimes are Eastern Daylight Savings Time.

2. Building and Grounds will be open to exhibitors at 7 a.m.Wednesday-Sunday. Building will close at 10 p.m. Wednesday-Saturday. Sunday, the building will close 30 minutes after theconclusion of Best of the Best or 6 p.m., whichever is later.

3. Please follow the directions of the parking attendants to facili-tate an orderly traffic flow through the unloading areas and inthe parking areas. Vehicles are allowed a 15-minute unloadingtime-frame. Violators will be towed.

4. Limited Conformation crating in Expo North Room A and RoomB. Limited Rally and Obedience crating will be in Expo South andcrating for Agility will be outside under the tent attached to theagility ring.


5. Grooming space is on a first come, first served basis. Emptygrooming space may not be saved.

6. No rugs or ground cover mats are allowed on the floor.7. No exercise pens inside any building. There is ample room for

private ex-pens outside.8. Exhibitors will be required to stack their crates when crating in

any buildings.9. Dogs may not be left unattended when crated in soft mesh

crates or on a grooming table. No dog may be left in anunlatched or un-zippered crate or on a grooming table.

10. Dogs must not be left in the buildings overnight. All dogs mustbe out of the buildings by 10 p.m.

11. No dogs or pets of any kind in restrooms or showers.12. No foreign substances allowed on dogs.13. For conformation, small ringside tables and crates are only

allowed at ringside during the judging of a single breed. TheEvent Committee may order these tables and crates to beremoved at its discretion. Please do not abuse this privilege.

14. There will be absolutely NO SMOKING/VAPING in any buildingor designated areas.

15. Admission Fee. Admission - $5 per car per day or $10 per car fora weekend pass (8 a.m. to 4 p.m.) An admission pass forexhibitors will be mailed with armbands.

16. No cones or other means may be used to save parking spacesin or about the parking lot or campgrounds.

17. Overnight parking for R.V.’s and camping registration available.For camping information, see the Camping Registration form inthis Premium List.

b. Every possible effort will be made to accommodate exhibitorswho have dogs entered in multiple events, but judges are notrequired to wait for dogs. Exhibitors are advised to notify stew-ards in all rings affected by the conflict so that judges may workaround any conflicts more easily.

c. All Star exhibitors, please be advised the Agility, Obedience, RallyObedience and Drag Race All Star Invitationals are not requiredto make allowances or accommodations for dogs and/or han-dlers entered in the All Star Competition and any other event.

4. UKC encourages exhibitors to present their dogs with the leastamount of grooming necessary to enable a judge to properly com-pare each dog with the standard of its breed. Dogs should be clean,with nails cut to a length suitable for the dog to perform the workfor which it was bred, and with clean teeth. The judge’s determina-tion that this rule has been violated shall be final. UKC enforces rulesagainst artificially altering pigment and coat color, coat texture, andsurgical alterations as outlined in the Official UKC® Rules for All-Breed Events.

5. THE OWNER OR DESIGNATED HANDLER of each dog is solelyresponsible for having it ready at ringside when its class is to bejudged. The host organization, event committee, and superin-tendent have no obligation or responsibility for providing servicethrough a public-address system or stewards or runners forlocating dogs that are not brought into the ring when required.

6. Dogs may arrive any time prior to their scheduled time of judg-ing. Dogs not required for further judging do not need to remainin attendance.

7. Please remember to turn off cell phones or any other devicebefore entering rings.

8. No un-entered dogs allowed on the event grounds. No dog lessthan 8 weeks of age may be present on the grounds of a UKCLicensed event.

9. Exhibitors and dog owners are expected and required to cleanup after their own dogs. Any person witnessing a violation of thisrule must report it to the Event Committee. The Event Commit-tee may ask any person violating this rule to leave the eventgrounds. No refund will be made if an exhibitor is asked to leavethe grounds.

10. No alcoholic beverages or illegal drugs will be allowed on thegrounds or in the buildings on the day of a UKC® Licensed event.

11. ATV (4-Wheelers) are prohibited on the grounds of the Kalama-zoo County Fairgrounds.

12. No Bicycles are allowed in any building or directly around anyevent ring. Failure to adhere may result in the expulsion of thecyclist from the Event Grounds.

13. Skateboards and roller blades are allowed in the camping area only.14. UKC will vigorously support any lodging facility that files a complaint

about exhibitors who fail to keep their dogs quiet or to clean upafter them. UKC will take disciplinary action against any offenders.

15. All rights to televise, videotape, advertise, photograph, promoteor other-wise exploit the event are vested in United Kennel Cluband its assignees. All persons and animals on the event groundsat any time while the shows are in progress do, by attendingthese shows, grant to the club the right to photograph, televise,videotape, audiotape or otherwise use their likeness and voice inany manner without further release or consent.

1. Nosework trials will include a pre-trial for the levels being run. Dogs need to pass the pre-trial for the level they are competing in. Dogs maybe entered prior to passing, but must pass the pre-trial prior to competing that day. If the dog has passed on ORT in the applicable odor pleasesubmit a copy of proof.

2. Individual element classes are divided into Levels “N”-“E” and further divided into “A” and “B” sections depending on the experience of thedog and/or handler. Be sure to check the rules regarding the divisions. For these classes, dogs will only be searching the elements chosen.

3. Full Nosework Trials are divided into Levels “N”-“E” and further divided into “A” and “B” sections depending on the experience of the dogand/or handler. These trials contain all four elements. Each element passed earns a leg toward a title in that element.

4. Handler Discrimination. One glove will be used and must be provided by the handler.

5. All entries must be submitted on the current Official UKC® Nosework Trial Entry Form.


7. Nosework events are open to all UKC registered breeds and mixed-breed dogs with a valid Performance Listing/Limited Privilege number/Per-manent Registration/Temporary Listing.

8. We want you to keep the points earned at UKC Licensed events. Important things to remember:

• All dogs entering UKC events must be permanently registered, have a valid Temporary Listing Number, or a Performance Listing/Lim-ited Privilege number.

• Dog not UKC registered? Apply for a Temporary Listing Number (TL) online at www.ukcdogs.com/tl-numbers. (TL fees are non-refundable, non-transferable and do not apply to the cost of permanent registration.)

• All entry forms must be completed and signed. Incorrect information submitted on the entry form may invalidate your wins.

WAIVERAll events are held under the Official Rules and Regulations of the United Kennel Club. Absolutely no alcoholic beverages,

illegal drugs or firearms will be allowed on the grounds or in the buildings on the day of a UKC Licensed event. UKC, its agents andemployees, and the host club assume no responsibility for any loss, damage, or injury sustained by spectators or by exhibitorsand handlers, or to any of their dogs or property, and further assume no responsibility for injury to children not under the controlof their parents or guardians. UKC and the host club are not responsible for loss, accidents or theft.
