• Cloud computing is a totally internet based technology.
• Basically “cloud” signifies the internet and “Computing” describes the technology.
• Cloud computing describe how computer programs are hosted and operate over the internet.

Types Of CloudsPublic Cloud: the services are delivered to the client via the Internet from a third
party service provider.
Example: Amazon, Yahoo, Google
Private Cloud: these services are managed and provided within the organization. There are less restriction on network bandwidth, fewer security exposures and other legal requirements compared to the public Cloud.
Example: HP Data Centers
Hybrid Cloud: allow data and/or applications to be moved from one cloud to another. This can be a combination of private and public clouds that support the requirement to retain some data in an organization.
