Tobacco and the Movies The major studios account for 90% of kids on-screen tobacco exposure. 82% of PG-13 films contain tobacco use. Smoking in movies is the most powerful pro-tobacco influence on children, accounting for 52% of adolescents who start smoking. And smoking in movies is supposed to be illegal!
