When editing my photos to insert onto my front cover, I used a number of tools. The main tool I used was the stamp; I used clone a certain part of the image used the stamp tool to cover up any flaws within the picture.

I then tried out a number of adjustments (brightness, contrast, hue and saturation) because I thought the raw photo was too dull to make the cover photo. I also did this to ensure the photo looked up to the best standards.

I used both the quick selection tool and the magic wand tool to erase the background. I did this because I am doing a music magazine and the mise en scene didn’t fit with genre of music.

I also used the eraser tool to get rid of any unwanted flaws in the background. Also I used the faded brush to fade the edges.

I also used this tool when editing the found image for the front cover of my magazine. I did this to erase the background of the image.

After I erased the background from the found image I copied and pasted the improved image onto my front cover.
