Preparing Leaders for the Next Generation.

Mr. Ben Haskell

While offering a rigorous college preparatory program, Trinity Christian Academy (TCA) distinguishes itself by the integration of Christian principles in all subject matter. This is at the core of all we do as a school. Our mission is to educate and equip students to become leaders for the glory of God. Leadership can be defined many ways, but for the Christian school our role model for servant leadership is our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

In an article, The Four C’s of Christian Leadership, Dr. Bruce Winston identifies four Christian leadership attributes as the 4 C’s: Calling, Competence, Confidence and Character. No matter what a student’s calling may be: lawmaker, doctor, teacher, CEO, pastor, missionary, entrepreneur, military personnel, artist, writer, musician, or laborer, every student has a tremendous opportunity to be a leader within one’s sphere of influence. Trinity’s goals are to come alongside students to help them discover their gifts and callings; to educate students so that they will be competent, to equip them with confidence; and to ground them with a Christian world-view that instills the character traits that they will need to lead in the face of adversity. Your support enables children access to this life-changing education.

During this season of giving thanks, Trinity Christian Academy would like to express our gratitude to families, friends, and alumni for all their support. Many of you have generously contributed to our Hoop-A-Thon, or Financial Aid Fund, donated Wish List items, attended school events, volunteered your time and prayed for our school. Your support has truly helped TCA provide Christ-centered education to a greater number of children on Cape Cod.

Thanks in part to your generosity, 148 students are attending Trinity Christian Academy—our highest enrollment in several years. Your support has made the difference for many families who would otherwise not be able to enroll their children in our school. Thank you!

As you read this annual newsletter, may you discover how the mission of TCA is having a positive impact on students, alumni, families and the local community. Thank you for your continued partnership as we prepare future generations of leaders! Please feel free to contact me directly at [email protected] .

TCA Joins MIAA!

Trinity Christian Academy of Cape Cod just completed the fall sports season as a member of Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association (MIAA). Trinity’s fall sports teams included Middle School Boys Soccer (Grades 5-7), Middle School Girls Soccer (Grades 5-7), High School Girls Volleyball (Grades 8-12), and High School Soccer (Grades 8-12). Our fall teams also welcomed many student athletes from the Home School community as well. Our students are now looking forward to Basketball Season which begins soon. Plans are also underway for a High School Baseball team in the spring.

“MIAA is a private, non-profit association organized by its member schools to govern, coordinate and promote education based programs for high school students. The mission of MIAA is to serve member schools and the maximum number of their students by providing leadership and support for the conduct of interscholastic activities which will enrich the educational experiences of all participants. MIAA promotes interschool activities that provide lifelong and life-quality learning experiences to students while enhancing their achievement of educational goals.”

Proceeds will help finish the Activity Center with a new gym floor that is NCAA approved. Students worked hard and raised $23,537.00 in pledges. will see physical education classes and after school

sports with Coach Leanne Horan. You will hear

students making a joyful noise to the Lord--singing and

playing musical instruments ranging from guitar to

“Boom-Wackers”, under the direction of Mr. Andrew

Taylor. Down the hall you will find Mrs. Mackiewicz’s

art room, and witness a creative explosion of drawing, painting,

pottery and award winning visual creative arts. You might even see

high school students busy designing The Talon, TCA’s yearbook.

2015 Annual Spring Banquet & Concert

With Nichole Nordeman The TCA Development Office and the Spring Banquet Committee are excited to announce that Nichole Nordeman will be performing at TCA’s 7th Annual Spring Banquet at the Cape Codder Resort in Hyannis on Friday, May 8, 2015 at

6:00 PM. Nichole Nordeman was raised in Colorado Springs, Colorado, where she played the piano in church, and was discovered by a music producer when she entered a Gospel Music Association (GMA) contest in Los Angeles, California. Nichole is a recording artist and songwriter for Sparrow Records/EMI Christian Music Group, with numerous number-one and top ten singles to her credit, and cumulative CD sales over one million. A two-time Gospel Music Association winner for Female Vocalist of the Year, she has won a total of nine Dove Awards. Her best-known songs include "Why", "This Mystery", "Holy", "Legacy", "Brave", and "What If" and “I Will Believe” inspired by The Chronicles of Narnia. During 2006 and 2007, Nordeman wrote an editorial column for CCM Magazine called "Loose Ends . . . Confessions of an Unfinished Faith." She recorded the album, Brave after giving birth to her son, Charlie. Nichole also released the greatest hits album Recollection: The Best of Nichole Nordeman on March 6, 2007 featuring two new songs: "Sunrise" and "Finally Free". Her song, "Real to Me" was featured on the PlayStation 2 game, Thrillville. Her song "Crimson", on the album Brave, is composed of original lyrics written by Nordeman, sung over “Chopin's Prelude in E min. Op 28”. Her song, "Hold On (Love Will Find You)", was recorded by Paul Brandt for his album Risk, released in 2007. Nordeman also co-wrote the song "Forever Now" with American singer/songwriter David Wilcox. She also wrote, recorded and released the song "Beautiful for Me" for the VeggieTales movie entitled: “Sweetpea Beauty”, in the summer of 2010. In 2011 Nordeman wrote a collection of 17 songs from a first person perspective of characters in the Bible, for a project for Zondervan. This collection, called Music Inspired by The Story, featured 24 popular contemporary Christian music artists and debuted at No. 11 on Billboard's Hot Christian Albums chart in September 2011. We are excited to share that some of our students will be performing with Nichole at this year’s Spring Banquet. This annual event provides an opportunity for the local community to make a difference in the lives of the youth of Cape Cod. Each year funds are raised at the Banquet to help provide financial aid for many of our students.

Please join us to celebrate Faith for Every Season on May 8, 2015!
