Registering Your Child for Primary One
For a child who has a sibling currently studying in the school of choice
Phase 1
How P1 Registration Works
For a child whose parent is a former student of the school and
has joined the alumni association as a member not later than 30 Jun of the preceding year; or
parent is a member of the School Advisory/ Management Committee
Phase 2A1
How P1 Registration Works
For a child whose
parent or sibling has studied in the school of choice; or
parent is a staff member of the school of choice
Phase 2A2
For a child whose
parent has joined the primary school as a parent volunteer not later than 1 July 2013 and has given at least 40 hours of voluntary service to the school by 30 June 2014 ; or
parent is a member of the church/ clan directly connected with the school; or
parent is endorsed as an active community leader

What is new for the 2014 Primary
One Registration Exercise?
Starting from the 2014 Primary One (P1)
Registration Exercise,
•reserve 40 places in every primary school
•for registrants in Phase 2B and 2C
•to ensure continued open access to all primary
schools.

What is new for the 2014 Primary
One Registration Exercise?
The 40 places will be reserved for Phase 2B
and 2C (20 places for each phase) before the
start of the P1 Registration Exercise.
The number of vacancies remaining after
Phase 2A(2) (this includes the 40 reserved
places) will continue to be split equally between
Phase 2B and 2C.

What is new for the 2014 Primary
One Registration Exercise?
• Primary One Internet System (P1-IS) for
all Primary Schools.
• The P1-IS serves as an alternate channel to
facilitate the registration of children
during Phase 2C and Phase 2C

• Parents who register online will have to
produce the originals of each required
document to the school the child is
successfully registered when requested by
the school or upon reporting to the
school.

Parents may register online if,
• your child is eligible for registration in Phase
2C or 2C Supplementary
• both parents have valid SingPass
• your child’s birth is registered in Singapore

The P1-IS is accessible 24 hours during the
following periods:
Phase 2C
Starting from 9.00 am on 29 July
2014 to 4.30 pm on 31 July 2014.
Phase 2C Supplementary
Starting from 9.00 am on 10 August
2014 to 4.30 pm on 12 August 2014.
How are the Places Allocated?
Within each phase, if number of applications exceeds vacancies, Singapore Citizens will be admitted first ahead of Permanent Residents, before balloting is conducted in the following order of priority: - within 1km of the school of choice - between 1 km to 2km of the school of choice - outside 2km of the school of choice
Important Points to Note
Each child can only be registered in 1 school at any one time
A child who is successfully registered in a school based on false information given by the parent will be transferred to another school with a vacancy after all eligible children have been registered
