At Base Chemicals we focus on the import and distribution
of raw materials that are intended for manufacturing different
types of resins, mainly for the wood sector, and we are the
largest distributor of melamine in southern Europe.
We have exclusivity contracts with some of the world’s main
producers, as well as preferential trade relations.
Furthermore, we have a network of intermediate storage in
order to offer a better service to our clients.

RAFAEL LOSTE

Chemical Engineer from the Sarriá Chemical Institute (URL) Barcelona, Spain.
Masters in Economics and Business Management from UNED (National Distance Education University), Madrid, Spain.
Rafael began his professional career at Ercros, first as a salesperson at the Paris office, and eventually assuming
the leadership of Ercros France, the country where he lived for 9 years, before returning to Spain as Assistant
Business Manager at Ercros.
He subsequently joined Cespa, part of the Ferrovial group, as General Manager of the industrial waste division, a
post which he held for 10 years.
Finally, Rafa joined Emsa in 2013 as Director of the Base Chemicals business unit.
