1. BACKGROUND
Public Service Commission Republic of Fiji
27,000 Officers employed in 43 Agencies (Ministries, Departments, Agencies) in 150 different locations.
Government Wages 26.55% or $618million of total budget - $2,327,385.03 or 13.18% of GDP
Work with Government of the day to assist Fijian People.
Service with integrity, courtesy, accessibility, responsiveness and efficiency
2. CONSTITUTIONAL ROLE OF PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION

To appoint Permanent Secretaries (PSs), with agreement of Prime Minister (PM);
To remove PSs, with agreement of PM
To institute disciplinary action against PSs; and
To make such other appointments and perform such other duties, functions and responsibilities as may be prescribed by written law
