● Late 1990’s St Lucia identified services as a priority sector
● 2001 commitment to establish Services coalition to support services export drive
● 2004 Draft National Export Development Strategy Identified key sectors
● SLCSI established in 2009
● TEPA recently established to promote Goods/Services exports

Grant funding from the Caribbean Aid for Trade and Regional Integration Trust Fund (CARTFund) for the execution of a twenty one (21) month project titled "Developing Saint Lucia's Services Sector".

“It is expected that the CARTFund project will contribute to the institutional strengthening of the SLCSI, increased capacity of its member associations to coordinate the development of the professional services sector; an increased level and quality of advocacy for the creation of a more enabling environment for trade in services and an increased number of service providers with the capacity to exploit new market opportunities.”
