BvB is financed by the German employment agency for each student over a period of 10 months. It is an ongoing course and there are new students joining at any time, throughout the year. They attended the course at vocational schools and at Volkshochschule in Cham.
The concept was planned by the German employment agency.
It started about fifteen years ago and it is open all the time, new students join whenever there is the need for them to be supported.
The background of the training is to support young adults and youths to start their vocational careers, even if they were not able to pass a proper school graduation before and to help them in their search for apprenticeship. Trainers sometimes also act as personal mentors.

The project has shown very good results during the last 15
years, as long as it has lasted. There are hardly any
drop-offs and the number of signed apprenticeship
contracts afterwards show the great success of this
measurement.
There are rarely any vacancies, and at the moment there
is even a waiting list for young people who want to join in.
