Rivers and the Rules of Gravity
1. Stream begins as rain or ice melts
1.a.Smaller streams join other streams to become a larger river system.
1.b. All rivers starts in highland areas.
2. All rivers flow to the sea.
3. High elevation: River flows quickly
Low elevation: River flows slowly
4. A river will go around or over anything that blocks its path.
5. High elevation rivers carves a path or riverbed.
6. Lower elevation: River moves slow, widen out, twist or bends
