• Human factors Psychology discovers and applies informationabout human behavior, abilities, limitations, and othercharacteristics to the design and evaluation of products, systems, jobs, tools, and environments for enhancingproductive, safe, and comfortable human use. Psychologistsin human factors apply their knowledge of human perceptualand cognitive processes to improve system performance anddevelop more effective human-machine interfaces. The focusof Human Factors is on the person as the central componentof human-product-environment systems.
