Eric is one of the elite members of the California Escrow Association (CEA), having been granted, in recognition of his thorough knowledge and experience, the professional designation of “Certified Senior Escrow Officer.” This designation is awarded only after meeting the requisite experience and education requirements and successfully completing the certification examination. Professional designation holders are required to demonstrate their knowledge by maintaining continuing education credits and membership in the CEA.

Eric began his career in escrow as a sales representative for an independent escrow company in 1993. He joined Glen Oaks Escrow in 1996, as an Assistant Escrow Officer, working with Scott Akerley, the owner, manager and top producing Escrow Officer at the time. Eric was quickly promoted to Escrow Officer, and soon became the top producing Escrow Officer for Glen Oaks Escrow with his unsurpassed level of expertise and client service.

Jeff Russell, President

Jeff has spent a large portion of his career leading, mentoring and supporting others to grow not only their professional lives, but also in their personal lives. His passion for people, coupled with his inventive business mindset, has led him to be a visionary in the industry over the past decade. Over time and several executive management positions, Jeff developed his modus operandi —a framework of empathy and persistent learning that would become the foundation

for Glen Oaks Escrow. This framework is evident in Jeff’s passion for coaching, amongst other things. At Glen Oaks Escrow, he created an internal coaching program to help guide employees to become the best version of themselves on both a professional and personal level. As President of Glen Oaks Escrow, Jeff manages the strategic direction of the organization in a very personalized and human way. Through his compassionate approach and encouraging those around him to be the best possible versions of themselves, Jeff has contributed to making the company what it is today.

Joe Curtis, Chief Operating Officer

Joe embodies a belief system that he leads by and lives by: create and implement strategic systems backed by empowered and accountable individuals who are passionate about the company’s mission, vision and values.For the past five years, he’s served as COO and Executive VP of Sales & Business Development at Pango Group. His transparent and collaborative leadership style has been a significant contributing factor to humanizing systems and processes, which has allowed him to

develop new business entities, strengthen existing ones and redefine the importance of people. Focusing on increasing productivity and supporting the team’s growth was the basis for an endeavor Joe initiated – the creation of Pango LAB. This concept focuses on training individuals interested in an escrow career and allowing employees to be cross-trained in other areas of the business. In turn, the company can provide a higher level of service to its clients. Joe was also named as a 2018 Advocate for Social Good by Giveback Homes. This distinction is given to prominent individuals within the real estate community who have demonstrated their commitment to giving back and pursuing the goal of safe and secure housing for all, and are eager to do more.

Milly Miller, Vice President of Escrow Operations

Escrow Operations is managed by one of the industry’s most experienced escrow professionals, Milly Miller. A 35-year real estate veteran, Milly’s illustrious career began on the sales side as a Realtor®, took a turn as a loan officer with one of the nation’s largest lending institutions, and then landed in escrow where she found her true calling. Of her 25-years as an escrow officer, she is proud to have spent nearly half of it with Pango Group. “This is a very forward-thinking organization and

pertinent to our industry,” she recently shared. Milly is actively involved in strategic initiatives, screening and hiring of escrow officers, training, and compliance. With her expansive industry knowledge, fluency in Spanish, as well as hands-on experience with every type of escrow transaction including expertise in REO procedures and systems, Milly is an invaluable resource for the staff.

Kari Bodine, Vice President of Escrow Operations

Kari Bodine brings a wealth of experience, expertise and passion to her role as Vice President of Escrow Operations at Pango Group. Her love for leading people and the real estate industry as a whole, started decades ago. Both of Kari’s parents were in real estate, so it was a natural fit for her to enter the industry.While Kari knew there were many other career opportunities she could have explored, she stayed in the industry because she quickly fell in love with all of the exciting work it

entailed. She possesses a great deal of experience in the Operations sector, both in Title and Escrow and has been serving clients and companies for nearly four decades. When Kari isn’t sharing her knowledge with others, providing encouragement to her team or collaborating with other management, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, cooking, enjoying wine with people she loves and writing inspirational blogs.

Frequently Asked Questions: Your office is in Glendale and my office / clients are located elsewhere: In this day and age you and your clients do not need to visit our office for a smooth transaction. The majority of documents are now done via e-mail, docu-sign and fax. In fact, only 1 out of 10 clients actually want to come to our office. We have sales reps, courier services and traveling notaries throughout the entire state to meet you and your clients at their homes or places of business. We have found more and more that most people would rather not leave their home or business no matter where the escrow company is located.

I like the escrow and title company to be in the same place: The title company may have an escrow division; however, what you don’t realize is the majority of the time they are not in the same building or location. As a matter of fact, the majority of title companies are located in Glendale, Burbank and Los Angeles. We work hand in hand with all the title companies in California and have great relationships with them all.

We get better rates when escrow and title are together: Our pricing is just as competitive as any other escrow or title company. I will never lose a deal over pricing. Do not be afraid to call and ask if we can match or beat the pricing you currently have.

My office or clients have a relationship with an escrow or title company: We understand that business is based off of relationships. Escrow is a neutral third party and we at Pango Group and Glen Oaks Escrow are not affiliated with any real estate company, title company or bank. We build our business on referral only, which means that we go above and beyond for our clients in order to earn their loyalty. We would love to have the opportunity to show you what we offer and if we can’t be your first choice, then we will happily be your second choice.

Title company escrow’s are more financially sound: This is a common misconception. Most title company escrows are not required to have Trust Fund Insurance or Bonding Requirements and employees are not required to be approved by the Department of Justice or Department of Business Oversight. They are also not required to have annual audits without prior notification or annual CPA audits. Glen Oaks Escrow is required to have all of this which means you and your clients are more protected with Glen Oaks Escrow than a title company. We are also CFPB approved and taking extra precautions to protect your client’s money and personal information.
