AS EPORTFOLIO ANALYSIS OF PERFORMANCE The aim of this task is for the candidate to identify their strengths and
weaknesses through the core skills used specifically in their activity and then analyse and develop these through the other tasks.
Core skills should be appropriate to the candidate and his/her position.
Core skills should be incorporated into the training plan and an analysis of development given
A minimum of 3 notational exercises should be undertaken to identify whether they are improving in the performance of the core skills
A critical analysis of the overall process should be made and culminate in an identification of their strengths and weaknesses.
This should provide information for the Development Pan
PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS – CORE SKILLSEnsure: 4 skills chosen are relevant to the candidates
development e.g. GD in Netball would not choose Shooting
Skill is broken down into phases i.e. preparation, execution, follow through
The 4 areas are covered e.g. Technical, Tactical Physiological, Mechanical in the analysis in each of the
skills Each area should be applied to each of the 4 skills As much evidence as possible is included to support
comments e.g. Annotated diagrams photos/video clips Compare own performance to that of an elite performer
PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS - TACTICALEnsure candidates: explore a wide range of tactics and strategies in their
activity. Should contain depth and technical accuracy. Refer to journals, elite performance
analyse their own contribution to the tactical play/performance
compare this with next level above or an elite teamsuggest alternative tactics Include court/pitch diagram, individual position tactics
