president appeal new - indian orthopaedic...

1
Dear Doctor, At the outset we wish to bring greetings from the Indian Orthopaedic Association (IOA) As you are aware, we will be observing the National Bone and Joint Day for the fifth successive year. Year after year, the Orthopaedic fraternity has been involving itself in the activities to the best of their abilities. We also understand that the activities mean a lot to not just the Orthopaedic Surgeons but to the general public as well. In order to create more awareness to the general public about the various social initiatives we have been taking in the interest of the Society, this year we have proposed to observe the year’s theme as ‘One Member – One Free Surgery’. We propose to perform at least 5000 surgeries on the 3 rd ,4 th and 5 th of August 2016 across the Country. You may also appreciate that this has never been done in any country; therefore we have proposed to create a New World record for “Highest number of Free Orthoapedic Surgeries, India, 35 August, 2016’ to commemorate with the Bone and Join Day, 4 th August. I’m also happy to inform you that the record has been listed in the World Record Academy facebook page for your reference. In this regard I wish to inform you that we have now come to the last lap which is the sprint. So I request each and every one of you to kindly put your entire focus on the Bone and joint day 2016, organise pre event camps to identify cases and ensure we achieve a large number of free surgeries for the World record. In order to simplify matters Dr Dhirendra Singh and Dr Raja Ravi Varma have been putting their best efforts and separate Instructions and guide lines will be issued. For easy coordination, Dr. C. Raja Ravi Varma will be in charge of Andhra, Karnataka, Kerala, Pondy, Tamilnadu and Telengana. Dr. Dhirendra Singh and dr. Ashok Vij shall be incharge of all the Norhtern States Dr. Snajay Jain shall coordinate with States in the Central Zone Until and unless each and every one of you lend your unstinted support IOA will find it difficult to achieve this feat. So please initiate necessary action in this regard. Thanking you, regards, s/d (Prof. Sudhir Kapoor) 1.7.2016

Dear  Doctor,

At  the  outset  we  wish  to  bring  greetings  from  the  Indian  Orthopaedic  Association  (IOA)

As  you  are  aware,  we  will  be  observing  the  National  Bone  and  Joint  Day  for  the  fifth  successive  year.

We  propose  to  perform  at  least  5000  surgeries  on  the  3rd,  4th  and  5th  of  August  2016  across  the  Country.

You  may  also  appreciate  that  this  has  never  been  done  in  any  country;  therefore  we  have  proposed  to  create  a  New  World  record  for  “Highest  number  of  Free  Orthoapedic  Surgeries,  India,  3-‐5  August,  2016’  to  commemorate  with  the  Bone  and  Join  Day,  4th  August.

For  easy  co-‐ordination,  Dr.  C.  Raja  Ravi  Varma  will  be  in  charge  of  Andhra,  Karnataka,  Kerala,  Pondy,  Tamilnadu  and  Telengana.

Dr.  Dhirendra  Singh  and  dr.  Ashok  Vij  shall  be  incharge  of  all  the  Norhtern  States

Dr.  Snajay  Jain  shall  coordinate  with  States  in  the  Central  Zone

Until  and  unless  each  and  every  one  of  you  lend  your  unstinted  support  IOA  will  find  it  difficult  to  achieve  this  feat.  So  please  initiate  necessary  action  in  this  regard.

Thanking  you,    regards,

s/d
