Objectives• The Intense Fellowship Course of the University of Genoa, Italy

shall represent a course of didactic education, practical clinical simulation and examination in the use of lasers as an adjunct to clinical dental surgery and medicine. The course shall be con-ducted during a four-day meeting. The official language shall be English.

• The course is designed to provide evidence-based core knowl-edge in laser use in dentistry and to refine practical skills. Empha-sis is placed on the integration of this course into the on-going practice of dentistry for each participant and their dental patients.

• The teaching faculty shall be members of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Genoa and accredited International specialists in la-ser dentistry.

• Each course attendee shall be required to sit a multiple-choice ex-amination, comprising 75 questions. The pass mark shall be 70%.

• Successful completion of the course and examination shall be recognised by the presentation of a certificate: “Fellowship in Laser Dentistry”. This shall define a level of competence that is consistent with an experienced laser user.
