Something that we’re going to con-tinue to remind everybody about is that the 2017 Product Show will now be held at the Sam Houston Race Park on April 5th. Thanks to Park USA for let-ting the committee meet at their of-fices. For those that have exhibited in the past we will be contacting you with all exhibitor information, including the new booth layout, by the end of Octo-ber. For all inquiries about our Prod-uct Show please contact our Product Show Chair, Brandi Baker, at [email protected] or (713) 849-7187.

As always if any vendors or manufac-turers are interested in presenting as a technical speaker at the Product Show or at our General Meeting please be sure to contact our VP Technical, Dave Clark, at [email protected].

on the founding committee for the ASPE/IAPMO Z1034 Standard for roof drain flow performance and is presently on the working committee of the revision for the ASME A112.6.4 Standard for roof drains. Froet Industries will be sponsoring lunch for all engineers, designers, contractors and City official in atten-dance.

The ASPE National Symposium is fast approaching. Registration is now open for the 2016 ASPE Con-vention and Exposition which is be-ing held in Phoenix, Arizona from October 28 – November 2nd. Go to www.aspe.org/expo for more details.

We’re still looking for a November 2016 Lunch speaker. Please re-member that ASPE is a great way to obtain CEU’s and network with many of the most knowledgeable people in the plumbing industry. If there is a topic you would like discussed please let me know and I will try and set something up. There are open-ings available to be a presenter at one of our upcoming lunchtime gen-eral meetings. I’m still looking for a November presenter at this time.

If you are interested in presenting at any of these events please contact me at [email protected], or at 713-860-3694.

Attendance was fantastic at our first meeting back from the summer! Thanks everyone for coming out. Re-m e m b e r t o RSVP online and it will make the

sign in process much smoother. You can also pay online and get an im-mediate receipt as well.

I want to thank Mr. Jim LeStage and Holdrite for a great presentation last month on Design Solutions for Piping Supports and Restraints and for sponsoring lunch to the engineers and contractors who were in atten-dance. Hopefully it’s not often we see some of the nightmare bailing wire and 2x4 solutions that Jim showed us last month.

Our next ASPE Houston General meeting will be held on October 5, 2016. The Presentation will be: Roof Drains – The ”Hole” Story”. Mr. Craig Froeter with Froet Industries will be here to discuss roof drainage design. Mr. Craig Froeter spent 25 years as a roofing contractor and throughout that time dealt with many roof drain issues. He invented and developed the Bi-functional drain. Mr. Froeter is the founder and Presi-dent of Froet Industries LLC. He was

The summer of 2016, rainy, HOT, vacations, the beach, great ASPE friends…not bad, not bad at all…. While we all anticipate the arrival of Fall and since Houston doesn’t really have spectacular leaf changing season, (we do go from green to brown – grass..) - we really just hope for lower humidity.

We hope to see you at the up-coming National Convention and Expo in Phoenix. Houston has a great group of Delegates going, in addition to our representative to the first WOA meeting.
