The launch of our Site Canada Cape Town Challenge, at our recent AGM, was received with a great deal of enthusiasm. The program is designed to assist our members with fund- ing to attend the 2010 Global Conference in Cape Town. Sponsor one new member and Site Canada will give you a rebate of $500 towards the cost of your registration fee, flight and accommodation. Two members - $1000, three mem- bers - $1500! We encourage all our members, across Canada, to take advantage of this opportunity and help us carry the Chapter of the Year banner into the Global Conference. For complete information on the program, please visit the Site Canada website. Attendees at our AGM were not only treated to an outstand- ing dinner (thank you, Nyood Restaurant!), we were also privileged to have Sean Mahoney, President Site Global, with us. On his first international Chapter visit, Sean brought us up-to-date on Site Global’s plans for 2010, as well as its recent achievements. Plans are well underway for our next two events - a chap- ter meeting taking place in Montreal on the evening of Wednesday, April 7 and National Meetings Industry Day, just a week later, on April 15. If you are going to be in Montreal on the 7th, or know of someone in the city who would like to come, all are welcome, you do not need to be a member. Similarly with NMID, everyone is welcome, either here in Toronto at the Allstream Centre, or at any of the other NMID meetings across Canada. Details of both events will be available on sitecanada.org shortly. For a small organization, Site Canada has a lot on the go - and we would love your help. You’ll find volunteering to be an exceptional way of making connections with your fellow Site members, here at home, as well as, internationally. If you are interested in joining one of our committees, please contact Liz Akey, Vice President Membership at [email protected]. We are always open to ideas and suggestions as to how Site Canada can better serve you. Please feel free to share yours with us.
